has anyone made the lemon cake mix in the microwave in the rice cooker? How long did you cook it? I would like to do it for a show tonight and I don't have the time to test it here.

TIA
Jennie

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use any lemon cake mix in a rice cooker?

Yes, you can use any standard lemon cake mix in a rice cooker. Just make sure to follow the instructions on the box for the best results, adjusting for the rice cooker's unique cooking method.

How long does it take to cook lemon cake mix in a rice cooker?

Cooking time can vary depending on the rice cooker model, but it typically takes about 40 to 60 minutes. It's best to check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center; if it comes out clean, the cake is ready.

Do I need to adjust the liquid ingredients when using a rice cooker?

Generally, you should not need to adjust the liquid ingredients significantly. However, if your rice cooker tends to run hot, you might want to slightly reduce the liquid to prevent the cake from becoming too moist.

What should I do if my lemon cake mix is too thick for the rice cooker?

If the batter is too thick, you can add a little extra liquid, such as water or milk, to achieve a smoother consistency. Start with a tablespoon at a time until you reach the desired thickness.

Can I add additional ingredients to the lemon cake mix in the rice cooker?

Absolutely! You can enhance your lemon cake by adding ingredients like lemon zest, poppy seeds, or even blueberries. Just be mindful not to overload the batter, as this can affect the cooking time and texture.
