bcowdin said:I made the deep dish peach pie and did not have the success with it that the earlier poster did. Of course, it did not help that I overcooked the pie crust. But...I used fresh peaches and they were not sweet enough and were a little crunchy and tasteless. I only cooked them 4 minutes, because I had overcooked the pie crust. Maybe next time I should use canned peaches, or at least check them with a fork and cook longer. All in all, I was disappointed with this dish.
If your baked potato bites are not crispy, it may be due to excess moisture. Make sure to dry the potatoes thoroughly after boiling and before baking. Additionally, ensure that you are using enough oil and that the oven is preheated to the correct temperature to promote crispiness.
Baked potato bites can fall apart if the potatoes are overcooked or if there isn’t enough binding agent in the mixture. Try using a combination of mashed potatoes and a binding ingredient like egg or cheese to help hold them together. Also, ensure that you are not over-mixing the ingredients.
If your baked potato bites taste bland, consider adding more seasoning to the mixture. Salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and herbs can enhance the flavor significantly. You can also try incorporating cheese or bacon bits for added taste.
If your baked potato bites are taking longer than expected to cook, it could be due to the size of the bites. Ensure they are cut into uniform sizes for even cooking. Additionally, check that your oven is properly calibrated and that you are using the correct temperature.
To prevent your baked potato bites from sticking to the pan, make sure to grease the baking sheet or use parchment paper. You can also try using a non-stick spray or silicone baking mats to ensure easy removal after baking.
