So I had a new recruit that was supposed to sign on Monday. She took a quick start box...now she doesn't want to sign until the end of February! If she doesn't order her kit by the 18th my director has to pay for it. I don't have anyone else who can use the quick start box....what do we do? The Quick Start box won't even help her now because it's Fall paperwork. :o(

Tell her that since she has decided not to sign up until Feb., she needs to return the box. Explain about the paperwork not being current then, and that you need it for someone else who is starting sooner (whether you do or not), and that she'll be charged for it by your director if she doesn't return it (if it comes to that). Why on earth someone would want to make off with a paperwork box that isn't going to help them is beyond me, but you just never know!

Can you return a quick start box though? I'd hate for my director to have to pay for it. I seem to have a lot of recruits that say yes they want to sign, they sign their agreement, we agree to submit on X day and then they back out. What can I do to stop this from happening all the time? I've had 3 people do this so far.

Never Never Never give a Quick Start Box without a signed or submitted agreement!!!! Secondly, your director will have to pay for it if she can't find anyone who is signing in your area before January (I believe, but she should check on the date) 27. So, get out there and recruit!

I have a signed agreement but she doesn't want me to submit it! :( I've called all my recruit leads and no one is ready to sign right now.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some effective ways to motivate a reluctant new Pampered Chef recruit?

Start by understanding their concerns and hesitations. Schedule a one-on-one meeting to discuss their goals and what they hope to achieve with Pampered Chef. Share success stories from other consultants to inspire them, and offer to help them set realistic, achievable goals. Encourage them to participate in training sessions and team meetings to build confidence and camaraderie.

How can I help my new recruit feel more comfortable with selling Pampered Chef products?

Provide them with product training and resources to familiarize them with the items they will be selling. Encourage them to host their own cooking show or attend a few to observe how others present the products. Role-playing sales scenarios can also help them practice and build confidence in their selling skills.

What should I do if my recruit is hesitant to host their first party?

Offer to co-host the first party with them. This allows them to see how it works without the pressure of being solely responsible. Help them choose a date and create a guest list, and provide tips on how to invite friends and family. Emphasize that it’s a learning experience and that you’ll be there to support them every step of the way.

How can I address a lack of enthusiasm from my new recruit?

Have an open and honest conversation to understand their feelings. Ask if there are specific challenges they are facing or if they feel overwhelmed. Encourage them to set small, manageable goals and celebrate their achievements, no matter how minor. Sometimes, a little recognition and encouragement can reignite their passion for the business.

What resources can I provide to help my recruit succeed?

Share training materials, such as videos, guides, and product catalogs. Introduce them to online communities or forums where they can connect with other Pampered Chef consultants for support and advice. Encourage them to utilize social media for marketing and to stay updated on promotions and new products. Providing a clear roadmap for success can boost their confidence and motivation.
