What challenges will I face with travel for my aunt's funeral in NY?

In summary, Jason's aunt passed away after being diagnosed with an inoperable tumor. The services will be held in his hometown in NY and he will have to take a long drive to get there. Many people offered their condolences, prayers, and hugs to Jason and his family, wishing them safe travels and good memories.

My dad called me this morning to let me know that my aunt passed away this morning. She was also my godmother and my dad's oldest sister. A couple of months ago she was diagnosed with an inoperable tumor on the back of her brain. Also pray for travel mercies for me. I am not sure when the services will be but they are going to be in my hometown in NY and with no direct flights up there, I will have to make the drive.

Oh, hugs to you Jason. Anything I could say would sound trite, so just know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my prayers and thoughts. Take care and be careful on that drive.

Nothing I can say will make it better at this point. But time makes it easier to deal with. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. She is in a much better place. I hope you know that. (((Hugs)))

Sorry to hear of your loss - stay safe traveling and I hope you can make it a good visit with family. 1 1/2 years ago, we had 7 losses in our family in 5-6 months (one being my father)...it was hard, you can't change that, but we drew closer as a family.
