Does anyone have any information about the theme songs from Conference? I would love to download them from Itunes, but I don't know the titles or lyrics.
 
The main one "We're All in This Together" is from High School Musical.

Nobody wants the words to "Mix n' Chop" huh? Although I guess the words to that one aren't so tough! Did you guys love when Marla said, "I just want to know one thing. WHAT are you all doing with those things?" I thought that was classic!!

THAT"S IT! I was singing it to my son on the phone saying "what Disney Channel show is this from?" Suprisingly enough he couldn't come up with it from my poor attempt at singing it to him! It was making me crazy--thanks Deb!

I am thinking about asking for a clip from the TPC way to be uploaded. I would love to be able to play it at meetings and to pump me up!

I need to learn the arm/hand motions (I guess it would be choreography but I am sure I spelled that wrong).

That sure was a fun song! I love to stand up during those songs and dance with them. I almost jump out of my seat "Oh cool, a stand up break!" :D

what is the reason behind them using Disney songs?
Anyone know?
I love them all, my 8 yr old dd is a HUGE fan, but wondered why PC uses them.

If you look on page 1 of this thread, the words from the past few featured songs are posted, and they're all Disney.

I wonder if it's so that there's less likely to be anything someone could consider objectionable in the lyrics or about the original performer.
 
I called home office on Mondayand am waiting for them to call me back with the words to the TPC Way. They told me that someone would get back to me at the end of this week once Conference was over. I also goofed and never picked up my pantry seasonings. I'm so mad! Everything was a bit of blur as I had so much going on with Director stuff etc. I spaced it out. I had even gone to the registration area a few times and never once remembered. DUH!

Don't feel bad, I ordered 3 packs of the choc invites and got ZERO!
Gotta call them today. Didn't realize it until yesterday when I pulled them all out and realized something was missing.
 
I had the "This is what dreams are made of" song in my head for a year after they had it at conference one time (and now it's back in my head!!!!) I'm pretty sure it's a Hilary Duff song.

OMG - I remember that song!! We all sang it at our next cluster meeting (kinda jokey) and the rest of the cluster that didn't go were looking at us like we had 2 heads!! LOL! OMG, now it's back in my head and it won't go away, either!!! Thanks for the trip down memory lane, Colleen!! :rolleyes:
 
I think part of the reason they use Disney songs, is that Disney likes to have positive messages in their movies about going after your dreams, therefore their songs kind of go hand in hand with PC what the point of conference is. Also, it might have something to do with licensing and maybe they have some sort of an agreement... I personally love the Disney songs, as I love the cheesy Disney movies, as most of the time there aren't any really "bad" people in the movie, and I'm a dork like that who will gladly go see a Disney tenny-bopper movie any day :D
 
Well... Warren Buffet is the single highest investor in Disney (stocks)... go figure! Plus, Disney is such a family-oriented biz just like PC!
