For the first time since NMD last November, I think I'm going to have 7+ consultants at my TEAM meeting on Monday, plus a couple of potential recruits.

I'm trying (and failing miserably) to come up with a fun, brief get-to-know you question to go with the introductions, etc. I'm seriously totally blanking out. Anyone have any ideas?

TIA!

You could tie it in as a training segment, and ask them to introduce themselves like you would ask guests at a show.

If I didn't have so many new and potentials coming, I'd be all over that. I've got 3-4 new consultants coming and at least 2 potential recruits (one is signing that night, the other on Wednesday).

I'm just looking for a quick question for them to answer as they go around introducing themselves and totally blanking out.

we always ask at our meetings: name, recruiter, and what sparked your interest in PC!! You get lots of different answers, while getting their WHY!

We do the same thing, plus we add how long we have been consultants. Its really great for guests to see that!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some icebreaker questions to start team meetings?

Icebreaker questions can help create a relaxed atmosphere. Some fun options include: "If you could have dinner with any celebrity, who would it be?" or "What is your favorite childhood memory?" These questions encourage sharing and can spark interesting conversations.

How can I make get-to-know-you questions relevant to our team?

What are some creative formats for asking get-to-know-you questions?

Instead of just asking questions verbally, try using formats like a "Question Jar" where team members draw a question to answer, or a "Two Truths and a Lie" game where each person shares two truths and one lie about themselves. This adds an element of fun and surprise!

How often should we incorporate get-to-know-you questions in our meetings?

Incorporating get-to-know-you questions in every meeting can be beneficial, especially for new team members. However, you might also choose to do this once a month or during special team-building sessions to keep it fresh and engaging without overwhelming the agenda.

Can get-to-know-you questions help improve team dynamics?

Yes, get-to-know-you questions can significantly improve team dynamics by fostering trust and camaraderie among team members. When individuals share personal stories and experiences, it creates a more supportive environment, encouraging collaboration and open communication.
