Keep tires properly aired up on all vehicles saves gas/$$$.

Fill the sink with water and wash dishes vs. running water and washing. With just the 2 of us, unless I've made a huge meal/mess, I usually try to wait til after supper to do mine.

Wash clothes in cold water. Run the dryer afer 9 p.m.
Use vinegar to wash clothes.

Save on expensive chemical cleansers by using vinegar instead. You can go online and find a bazillion ways to clean with vinegar.

Power cooking with The Pampered Chef! Make extra for a 2nd meal - saves money and time!

Use PC microfiber cloths to clean everything!

That's all I can think of right now.

Definitely helps with gas mileage! Safety issue too! Especially in winter when cold weather lowers pressure. I had a friend blow a tire on the highway last week from cold temps lowering pressure!

That's one of my worst fears: blowing a tire on an icy road cuz I'm here to tell you, people in Texas DO NOT know how drive on ice. Or they do but don't!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of keeping tires properly aired up?

Keeping tires properly inflated improves fuel efficiency, enhances vehicle handling, and extends the lifespan of the tires. Properly aired tires also contribute to safer driving by reducing the risk of blowouts and improving traction on the road.

How can I check if my tires are properly inflated?

You can check your tire pressure using a tire pressure gauge. Simply remove the valve cap from the tire, press the gauge onto the valve stem, and read the measurement. Compare the reading to the recommended pressure, which can typically be found on a sticker inside the driver's side door or in the owner's manual.

How often should I check my tire pressure?

It is recommended to check your tire pressure at least once a month and before long trips. Additionally, you should check the pressure whenever there is a significant change in temperature, as tire pressure can fluctuate with temperature changes.

What should I do if my tires are under-inflated?

If your tires are under-inflated, you should inflate them to the recommended pressure as soon as possible. Use an air compressor at a gas station or a home air pump. Make sure to check the pressure again after inflating to ensure it is at the correct level.

Can over-inflating tires cause problems?

Yes, over-inflating tires can lead to a harsher ride, reduced traction, and increased wear in the center of the tire tread. It can also increase the risk of a blowout, especially on hot days or during high-speed driving. Always adhere to the manufacturer's recommended tire pressure.
