What is the deal with the time stamp? I just sent a post and it said "Today 4:30 pm" I am in the PNW, but even with the 3 hours time difference to EST that does not make 8:30 am 4:30 pm.

Just curious.

I noticed too that the times are weird. Not sure what that's about, but I'm sure Greg does! :D

Mine are coming up fine. Are you sure you have your time zone set correctly in your profile?

I looked in my profile and I only found a place to state where I live not a time zone. If you know how to change it let me know.

I was just about to tell you where it was :) glad you found it!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a time stamp on a social media post?

A time stamp on a social media post indicates the exact date and time when the post was created or published. It helps users understand when the content was shared, which can be important for context and relevance.

How can I find the time stamp on a post?

The time stamp is usually displayed near the username or profile picture of the person who made the post. On most platforms, you can hover over or click on the time to see more details, such as the exact time and date.

Why are time stamps important for social media users?

Time stamps are important because they provide context for the content. They help users determine the timeliness of the information, assess its relevance, and understand the sequence of events, especially in discussions or trending topics.

Can time stamps be edited or changed?

Generally, users cannot edit the time stamp of their posts once they are published. However, some platforms may allow users to delete and repost content, which would create a new time stamp. Always check the platform's policies for specifics.
