If you could only take 10 items to a show, what would they be.

Good one....I have to think about it.

From the current catclog:

Executive Small Saute Pan
Large Round Stone
Woven Round Tray
Microplane Adjustable Grater
Rice Cooker Plus
Stainless Mixing Bowls (maybe just one of them)
Citrus Press
All The Best cookbook
Simple Additions Small bowls w/ caddy
Large Serving Spatula

wow...hard to come up with just 10!

Hmmm. I like this game. These are what I think people like "demo-ed" the most at my shows. (Most are also on my top sell list from PP)Large round stone
food chopper
1.5 qt executive pot
deluxe cheese grater
utility knife
cutting board
ice cream dipper
can strainer
smooth edge can opener
garlic press

Chillzanne Rectangle Server
Quick Stir Pitcher
Chopper
Shears
Pizza Cutter
Meat Tenderizer
Too Turn About
Citrus Press
Large Round Stone
Garlic Press

And A TON of very very close seconds

Oh boy! Only 10.?

1. food chopper
2. small saute pan
3. ultimate slice n grate
4. tool tun about
5. knives (any of them)
6. pizza stone (only because I finally have it to a reddish non stick color)
7. cookbook ( any)
8. bamboo spoons
9. cutting board
10. 2 qt pitchers

This was hard!

large round stone
food chopper
pizza cutter
garlic press
classic batter bowl
cutting board
All the Best cookbook
Measure all
Exec 8" saute pan
paring knife

Ooh, that is a tough one!

Jeanie Gay

1. Exec 8" Saute Pan
2. Large Round Stone
3. Simple Additions of some sort
4. Small Mix 'N Scraper
5. Food Chopper
6. One of the Self-Sharpening Knives
7. A Cutting Board
8. Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl(s)
9. All the Best Cookbook
10. One of the Chilzanne Products

What a good thread!! It was really tough. I chose based on something from each of the big collections and higher priced items. Practically, though, I bring whatever I need for my recipe.

I think it would be an impossibility for me to just bring 10 items, but if it was a matter between life and death I would bring:

a piece of cookware
a piece of stoneware
a batter bowl
a cutting board
food chopper
a knife
tool turn about filled with my tools (I know that may be cheating. :p )
prep bowls
grater (either microplane or deluxe)
a cookbook

food chopper
ultimate slice & grate (mandolin)
large cutting board
easy read measuring cups
stoneware bar pan
executive small saute pan
stainless steel bowls
smooth edge can opener
garlic press
classic scraper

OK, only 10 is tough!;) Let's see....
Lg round stone
chopper
one good knife (maybe one of the new ones!)
cutting board
sm saute pan
batter bowl
scraper
garlic press
chilz rect server
easy read measuring cups

(I liked the idea of the tool turnabout with tools! but I suppose that is cheating;) )

3. pizza stone
4. round woven selection
5. garlic press
6. cutting board
7. microplane or cheese grater
8. SA piece
9. cook book
10. knife

This is fun, and challenging! Here's my list, of course the decision as to which piece of stoneware and which piece of cookware would depend on what recipe I'm making1. food chopper
2. garlic press
3. kitchen shears
4. stoneware (any piece)
5. executive cookware (any piece)
6. knife (any one) with case
7. simple additions rectangle tray

10. mix-and-stir (either size)

Stoneware Bar Pan
Executive Small Sauté Pan
Ultimate Slice & Grate
Cutting Board
Stainless Mixing Bowl(s)

I would take

Tool Turn About (full of tools, of course)

A piece of Executive Cookware, most likely 8" saute pan
Quick Stir Pitcher (it's summer and 110 degrees here, lemonade is necessary)
Cranberry Rectangular Baker
Rectangle woven selection with patriotic cover

I have noticed a lot of you would bring the stainless steel bowls. I have not sold any yet. I do love them so I talk them up a lot but people think they are to expensive. Have a lot of you sold them?

The only ones I have (sold?) are freebies or host specials:o

Stainless steel bowls, like any higher priced item, are a great reason to host a show. Even so, I've sold more sets outright than I've sold with the Host Bonus and 1/2 price choices combined.

Don't know why? I just make sure I pass a bowl (the biggest one) and tell people about the features/benefits as it's going around the room.

In regards to the Stainless Mixing Bowls. I have sold 6 sets in a little under a year. I take them to my shows for a few different reasons:
1. They are higher priced and usually people who will spend the money on them would want to see them first (kind of like cookware)
2. They are a lot lighter than the batter bowls so it cuts down on my bag/tote weight.
3. With the Aug. special being the 8 quart bowl I really wanted to show them off and I got a booking just because of it!

I'm just curious when you signed on, because I am 456343;)

I would take these 10 items:

1. Large stone
2. Measure-All Cup
3. Classic Batter Bowl
4. Small Mix 'N Scraper
5. Food Chopper
6. Garlic Press
7. Microfiber Towel
8. Cutting Board
9. Utility knife with case
10. All the Best Cookbook

here's my 101. large bar pan
2. garlic press
3. USG
4. Pizza Cutter
5. Mini serving spatula
6. All the Best Cook Book
7. Season's Best
8. Utility Knife
9. Food Chopper
10. Classic Batter Bowl

I just need to stick to this. I am bad about carrying the kitchen with me! I do not think it has increased sales, but I just like to have extras sitting around. What does everyone else do? I think i am going to try in August not carrying "sit around" things with me and see if it makes a differnce.

I usually bring my crate filled w/ items and then a rolling suitcase. The thing is HUge!! I decided for summer I wouldnt take so mich w/ me.
MY director actually suggested it. She said it is a little like a teaser when you say, "Yes, I own that, but It is not here. YOu can host a party and I will make for sure the recipe has that item."
I havent noticed any difference in my sales though. I am hoping it works.
