All these promotions and opportunities to earn free stuff really motivate me. I'm like a hoarder right now and I want it all! Getting free PC stuff is really addictive! There really must be psychology concepts behind the promotions and programs!

I just read all the details about the recruiting promotion and I really want that new tote. But I can only get it by recruiting. So now I really really want to recruit at least 2 people by the end of Feb.

But aiming to earn the promotions is what makes us consultants succeed. And if we succeed, then the company succeeds too with increased sales. It's really a win-win situation. Without consultants who are motivated, the company would not be able to generate revenue.

These are some of the things that go through my mind as I try to analyze the business principles of direct selling!

I agree with what you have said above. I am different though, I don't recruit. Yes I know many of you will think that I'm nuts. This wasn't why I started with PC. Of course if somebody approched me about signing I would, but I don't want to recruit people and be "resonsible" for them.
I do lose out on some things but I'm doing it "my way".:)

And that's the great thing about this business! For those who want to get all they can from it, they can. For those who want something in particular, like a night out of the house, a chance to meet new people, etc., they can!

I am the same way you are! I just do not have time or the desire for that responsibility right now! I love my business just being myself.

The one that did "approach" me did not pan out and I was not disappointed b/c I do not have recruiting goals. I tried to coach her, I did not just let her slip away, right after she signed she started telling people she did it only for the free products, but keeps giving me excusing when I call!

I agree with you on this - it kills me not to earn a FREE product! I know that is what helps me succeed b/c I am ULTRA competive and cannot stand to "loose" a product!
