Director Successfully Onboarding Long-Distance Recruits

In summary, onboarding long-distance recruits is crucial for their overall experience with the company and can increase retention rates and productivity. To effectively onboard them, a clear and detailed plan should be in place, including virtual meetings, necessary resources, and open communication. Challenges may include building a sense of connection and addressing technology barriers. Making the process more engaging can be done through interactive elements and opportunities to get to know the team and company culture. Best practices for successful onboarding include a well-defined plan, setting clear expectations, providing support, and regularly checking in. Continual evaluation and improvement are also important.

Just wondered your thoughts on this. I'm loving the intro show idea from Lydia Martin and did my 2nd one last night... I have 2 more to do this month!

My question is about long-distance recruits... how do you all handle this? How do you help new long-distance consultants get off to a successful start?

I have a document that I send them about launching in the first 30 days--I don't know how to post it here or I would. And I talk to them weekly.

To post here, click below the reply box where it says Go Advanced... scroll down below the box where you enter the text replies and you'll see it say Manage Attachments... click on that and you can attach the file in the little box that pops up. :)Thanks for sharing!!!! :D

I coach over the phone, hook them up with hospitality, use the Cooking Show in Action video

One-on-One calls really help! :DTraining videos, hospitality, Chef Success are all good resources for them too.
