Update This Is The Email From HoHi Leah,

Thank you for contacting The Pampered Chef Test Kitchens with your
product question. We do not have a tool in our line to sharpen the
blades of the Ultimate Mandoline or Food Chopper. If these products are
still within the guarantee and the blades seem dull - contact the
Solution Center. If the products are out of guarantee the product may
be taken to a hardware store or sewing shop in your area to see if they
can sharpen the blades. Please let us know if you have more questions.

I rarely demo the Ultimate Mandoline.
A kitchen tool at this price point should have a julienne blade.

This is not a negative comment; it's a challenge to improve the product we consultants sell.

Never had anyone say that their blades got dull. If it's still under warranty, HO will replace dull blades. If it's out of warranty, they can purchase just the blade off of a replacement parts order!

The question was directed to if they bought it ... would the blades become dull and if so how do they sharpen them.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sharpen the blades of my Pampered Chef mandolin?

To sharpen the blades of your Pampered Chef mandolin, you can use a sharpening stone or a specialized mandolin blade sharpener. Carefully follow the manufacturer's instructions, ensuring you maintain the angle of the blade while sharpening. Always handle the blades with caution to avoid injury.

Can I use a regular knife sharpener for my mandolin blades?

It's not recommended to use a regular knife sharpener for mandolin blades, as they are designed with a specific angle and shape. Using a sharpener not designed for mandolins may damage the blades. Stick to tools specifically made for mandolin sharpening for the best results.

How often should I sharpen my mandolin blades?

The frequency of sharpening your mandolin blades depends on usage. If you use your mandolin frequently, you may need to sharpen the blades every few months. For occasional use, once or twice a year may suffice. Always check the sharpness before use to ensure safe and effective slicing.

What should I do if my mandolin blades are damaged?

If your mandolin blades are damaged, it's best to replace them rather than attempt to repair them. Contact Pampered Chef customer service or check their website for replacement parts. Using damaged blades can lead to poor performance and safety hazards.

Are there any safety tips I should follow while sharpening my mandolin blades?

Yes, safety is crucial when sharpening mandolin blades. Always wear cut-resistant gloves to protect your hands. Ensure the mandolin is securely positioned on a stable surface while sharpening. Take your time and avoid rushing the process to prevent accidents.
