In summary, Teresa's daughter is experiencing headaches that are unexplained and are impacting her daily life. She is seeing a neurologist and a massage therapist and is hoping for relief soon.

I need a few prayer warriors.....

It has been a very hectic spring with our daughter dancing Fri- Sun at contests the entire month of April, middle son graduating, family coming in (I fed and did laundry for 13 for a week) and dealing with her problem of constant migraines since April.
She just had a catscan this week it came back normal. Which was good news but also not good news because we still do not have answers.

Our next step is a neuroligist and a massage therapist.

Since April 22 she has only had 2 days head ache free. (after a cortisone shot from the ENT doctor) In the beginning we thought it was because of her HPV vaccination but it has been ruled out since it has dragged on so long. (still haven't decided if she will take the last HPV shot)

It is starting to take a toll on all of us.

At one appt she had blood work done. Before going to the dr. she had a breakfast sandwich, orange juice and tator tots and her sugar level was 61 (65 is where the range begins I believe) Our Dr. was very concerned because oj spikes blood sugar so she wonders what it would have been without breakfast. but at this time we are not doing a fasting because she is so stressed over everything and freaks at needles.

We have been cutting sugar out of her diet which helps with her wanting to sleep all the time and helps some with the migraines.

Please uplift her in your prayers. I want her to be able to enjoy her church camp in July ( its in Oklahoma & too far to go get her & take her back when she is feeling better).

Thanks!
Teresa

Teresa,
I will keep your daughter in my thoughts and prayers. i hope she gets to feeling better and finds out what these headaches are from.

Prayers coming your way-and hopes Dr.s find the cause!

I will be praying for her!

Teresa...you mentioned a massage therapist. Are you thinking it may be muscle related? I am a HUGE fan of myofascial release therapy...releases things that a massotherapist wouldn't be able to touch. You may want to look in your area to see if you can find one. Even call some massage therapy places and see if they have heard of a MFR specialist in your area...

Sorry if this isn't applicable to her case...

Has she seen a Chiropractor. I get constant headaches when I need to go in and something is out of alignment. A good chiropractor can help and if they are a good one, they will point you to the proper medical doctors if it is something out of their control. My chiropractor does myofascial release too and the massage therapist can help also.I am so glad you are also waiting on that third shot until you know what is happening!I pray she finds relief soon!Where are her headaches located normally?
(...and guys please refrain from saying duh, her head). :)

at her temples and forehead
they thought it was a sinus infection but those meds didn't help she tried 3 migraine meds the side effects of relpax almost sent her to the emergency room I am about to lose my mind with worry and trying to keep her comfortable
for the first time in 14 years I haven't done a show & have no desire to even gather orders my focus is on her.

Teresa - Massage her neck and shoulders and feel along the side of her neck and along her collarbone. If she is experiencing pain and tension in those areas too, I'd take her to a chiropractor. There are trigger points found in the muscles of the neck, jaw, and upper back. Nerves along these areas are connected to the forehead and temples, and consequently, a contraction or pressure on these nerves triggers a pain response in the temples and forehead. If her neck is misaligned and also is she has carried a heavy shoulder bag or backpack throughout the year, she may have issues. She may have what feels like a not that needs to be worked out.My chiropractor does release on those points after adjustment and it makes a HUGE difference. Similar to what Kelly described.I hope for her sake it is something like that rather than something more major medically.Headaches are complicated and not fun!

Oh Teresa - I'm praying for you and your daughter! I'm sure your mother's heart is just broken over this - it's horrible for our kids to be in pain, or sick, and not know what to do.

I'll be praying that God will lead the Dr's to some answers for you.
