A friend of mine is an Executive Director with Cookie Lee.
She earned a trip to the Bahamas, and she is leaving in June. We were comparing notes since she knows I just got back. Did you guys know that when Cookie Lee consultants earn their trips, they are only for ONE person? They have to earn an additional to take a guest with them. At the Executive Level, she is not able to take her husband.
They also do not have online ordering...

I love Pampered Chef. :p:D

Laura,

I believe it's the same for Lia Sophia - I have a friend who started with that in January and was showing me her incentive trip - it's for one and you also have to earn additional to take another person - I agree PC rocks!

Is there a post that compares PC with the "other" companies? Would it be to terrible to give this to your possible or new recruits?

We have to earn extra to take two. Our first level incentive for our trip is for a trip for one only. I was soooo close last November but didn't bother pushing it since I wouldn't want to leave my VERY supportive hubby behind and didn't have the funds to pay for him to go separately.

IMO the vast majority of DS companies operate very similar just a few changes here and there. Now some have requirements that make you really "work" the business while others allow for "hobby" consultants.of the ones I have personal expierence with there is one thing PC does that I like the others never did... give you an "actual payheck" once or twice a month so you can really see your earnings

Well, I have a friend whose been a Princess House Rep for twenty plus years. She told me once that, when you earn a trip with their company, the first one is ALWAYS to Hawaii. Also, as you promote in the company, you have to sell MORE to earn a trip, not less like we do!!

Canadian consultants have different earning levels for a trip? That sounds weird! Do you guys have the same trips...just different times? If you earn the trip for one, can you buy in someone?

My first incentive trip with PC was to Montreal. It was right before we launched PC in Canada. (We were given pamphlets to hand out if people asked about PC when they saw our shirts.) The earning period did not run from Jan-Dec...it went for like 15-18 months...and the first level was for one consultant only. I earned the first level but my best friend/consultant earned it too and was getting ready to move out of state so we roomed together and enjoyed the time together. I felt really weird traveling on a vacation without my husband! (This bit of Pampered Chef trivia was brought to you today free of charge :) )

My SIL who sells Arbonne won a cruise but she had to pay the airfare to get down there... The airfare was more than the cost of the cruise ... I told her that wasn't a FREE trip!

back before I was a consultant US PC consultants earned trips that way (for one and then another level for two). I love that they changed it! I noticed they do a lot of things in Canada, UK and Germany like they USED to here. I wonder why? Maybe they have to build up the volume of consultants before they can afford to give the top performers the better perks?

I met a Body Shop at Home consultant at one of my shows last year. She was telling me they, too, only earn a trip for one when they earn trips - they then have to buy in their spouse.
We are SO lucky here with PC!

I talked to a lady that attended one of my shows and she sells(I believe it's called Home and Gardens) and she was bragging about her trips at my show and I said well, with PC you don't have to go alone, you can take your husband and I'm telling you it shut this lady up and as she was walking out she handed me a H&G catalog. I just giggled and said thanks. Everytime I send her the newsletter she replys by trying to recruit. I just laugh at it.

BTW, I LOVE PC!

I know a girl that sells Wildtree Herbs. Not only do they only have trips for one, they have to sell more, and they don't get a full year to do it like we do.

Are the incentive points comparable with these companies, or are they lower so it would be easier to earn 2? I like that with PC it's a trip for 2. I can't wait to earn one & take my hubby for free!

Ok, am I the ONLY one who has never heard of half of these companies? :p

I've just started hearing about them recently! Maybe it's because we're in Indiana:)

I only started hearing about most of them when I started PC. Of course, I hadn't heard of PC until about 3 years ago!

Everything seems to start on one coast or the other. It can take years for things to reach little old Indiana.

Now I REALLY love PC! LOL....:o

For lia sophia the points are lower to earn a trip. The points for a trip for two are comparable to pc.
