I have committed to God to pray before my shows begin. But here is my problem I get in my "zone and habits of the show" and cannot get used to making sure I do what I have committed to do. After the show I feel horrible b/c I did not do what I told God I would do. I know that I owe all of my success to Him and want to be a witness in this small way at my shows.

Please, pray for me to get in the "habit" of doing this and get out of just going right on as I am use to. I am sure those of you that have a show routine and have committed to a change can understand how hard it is when you first begin to alter that routine.

What I am trying to do is give Him the glory when I'm telling my story after the guests finish their introductions. That way it's a part of my life... HE is the center of my life... so I don't forget since it's incorporated into my PC story. I am not really a routine person... I always hit certain things but I'm also quite relaxed about when that happens... I try to follow the flow of each group... so putting that testimony into my story gives it a sure place to say it. Just my way of doing it... I'll be praying for you!

What I do is I tend to follow the spirit and promptings of the spirit through out my show, the reason is, becasue I know that God will carry me through every part of my show and help me succeed. I pray before I leave my house that I may arrive safely and I pray once I get to my hosts house, before I get out of my car. AND I carry a pray in my heart through out my intire show. I will be praying for you!!

Jen,
God knows your heart~ the habits you feel are overtaking your will to pray before can be changed! I've found the best way to honor Him is to do it exactly at the moment He speaks to me. Don't put him off... So, right now as you read the post~ make yourself a sticky note with a prayer on it and put it in your car right where you can see it! If you have an area where you keep most of your show pieces, put another one there.
Ever since I read the post about applying the 3-2-1 principle to your life, I have been a witness more and more! You could end your shows by telling each guest that you will pray for them... You will also be prayed for.

Once I get to the host's home, business takes over for me too! Pray in the car on the way there...where you won't be interrupted. Also, I am the type of person that I always use the restroom once I am set up, but before the show begins (cuz I know after that, I usually don't have any time!! :) ) and I always stop before leaving the restroom and ask for God to calm my fears, to be with me during my demo, and to show me the indivudual needs of every person there. Sometimes their needs are PC related, sometimes not! Listen to what he is trying to tell you about each person that you come in contact with. I pray that God can help you to incorporate focusing on Him through every show that you do!
