Can anyone help me with some sort of documented review on the forged cutlery. I have a hostess who wants to compare to Henckels, etc.
Thanks,
Jen

That would be great! Anyone? Home Office...do they have anything like this? I feel like this would be helpful to all of us.

As far as I know there arent any reports---however, you get the LIFETIME warrenty with PC...many companies don't offer that. And if you dont like it within 30 days you can return it.

THere is some information on CC under product information about the knives themselves. But I know you are looking for a comparison chart.

That sounds like something Cook's Illustrated would have, too. They have great product charts and do occasionally include our products in their reviews (I know they've done our Professional Grill Pan and Rectangular Baker within the last few years).

They can return it postage paid within 30 days...they still have up to that first year mark to return it postage paid by them. I point this out to anyone who is "on the fence" about a rather large purchase. (forged cutlery, UM, cookware, etc.)

My pastor's wife did this with her US&G...she had it for about 9 months and decided that she just didn't use it enough to justify the cost. She mailed it back in and exchanged it for something else!

What I tell my customers is that when it comes to a high quality knife it has to feel good in their hands. All of the leading forged steel knives have the same key features; the major difference is in how balanced and comfortable they feel in one's hands....and of course the customer service and warranty behind the products. Ours are so amazingly comfortable to hold and easy to work with. Also, I don't know of any company that lets folks return a product within a full year of using it. Talk about offering a test drive!

Hi Jen,I would be happy to provide you with a consumer report-type review of our forged cutlery. As a consultant for Pampered Chef, I have personally used and tested our forged cutlery and have also gathered feedback from other customers who have purchased it.First and foremost, our forged cutlery is made with high-quality stainless steel, making it durable and long-lasting. The forged process creates a stronger and more precise blade, allowing for better cutting performance. Our knives also have a full tang construction, meaning the blade extends all the way through the handle for added stability and balance. In terms of performance, our forged cutlery has received rave reviews from customers. They have mentioned that the knives are sharp, easy to handle, and make cutting and chopping tasks a breeze. They also appreciate the weight and balance of the knives, making them feel like a professional chef in their own kitchen.Compared to other high-end brands like Henckels, our forged cutlery offers similar quality at a more affordable price point. Customers have mentioned that they are able to achieve the same results with our knives as they would with more expensive brands. In addition to performance, our forged cutlery also has a sleek and modern design that adds a touch of elegance to any kitchen. The ergonomic handles provide a comfortable grip, making it easy to use for extended periods of time.Overall, our forged cutlery has received overwhelmingly positive reviews from customers who have purchased and used it. They have compared it to other top brands and have found it to be just as good, if not better, in terms of quality and performance.I hope this review helps you and your hostess make an informed decision. If you have any further questions or would like to see the knives in action, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.Best,

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Forged Cutlery and how does it differ from stamped cutlery?

Forged cutlery is made from a single piece of high-carbon stainless steel that is heated and shaped through a forging process. This results in a stronger, more durable blade with better edge retention compared to stamped cutlery, which is cut from a sheet of steel and typically has a thinner, less robust design.

What are the benefits of using Pampered Chef's forged cutlery?

Pampered Chef's forged cutlery offers several benefits, including superior balance and control, enhanced durability, and a lifetime warranty. The ergonomic handles provide comfort during use, and the high-quality steel ensures that the blades maintain their sharpness over time.

How do I properly care for and maintain my forged cutlery?

To maintain your forged cutlery, hand wash the blades with warm, soapy water and dry them immediately to prevent rust and corrosion. Avoid using abrasive sponges or putting them in the dishwasher, as this can damage the blades. Regularly hone the edges with a honing steel and sharpen them as needed to keep them in optimal condition.

Are there any consumer reviews available for Pampered Chef's forged cutlery?

Yes, many consumers have shared their experiences with Pampered Chef's forged cutlery online. Reviews often highlight the quality of the blades, their performance in the kitchen, and the comfort of the handles. You can find these reviews on various cooking forums, social media platforms, and the Pampered Chef website.

Is Pampered Chef's forged cutlery worth the investment?

Many users believe that Pampered Chef's forged cutlery is worth the investment due to its high quality, durability, and performance. While the initial cost may be higher than some other brands, the longevity and effectiveness of the knives often lead to savings in the long run, as they do not need to be replaced as frequently.
