So, I riced the potatoes for dinner using the cookie press and I will honestly say they were the best mashed potatoes I have had in my entire life. I think of myself as a potato lover. I gave them up for lent when I was 8 and only lasted a week.... then I cried.
Best ever... it was great. I recomment it for everyone to try. It was so easy, too!

I have a potato ricer and you are right. They make the best mashed potatoes

I can't seem to get the hang of riced potatoes. After you rice them and add milk and butter, do you moosh them altogether with the mix & masher, or do you just leave them "riced"?

I just stir after adding the milk and butter. The riced potatoes are now all mushed, so you just need the milk and butter for a bit of flavor.

Hi there! I'm so glad to hear that you had a great experience using the cookie press to rice your potatoes for dinner. As a fellow potato lover, I can definitely relate to your struggle of giving them up for lent. But I'm happy to hear that this new method has made them even better for you. I highly recommend trying out more recipes with the cookie press, it's such a versatile tool in the kitchen. Happy cooking! :chef:
