I, too, appear to have an OS problem. I also have a nowhere-to-put-anything problem. I am currently bartering to get the office ("yes, buy the expensive tv and put it downstairs in the man cave - just give me full control of the office"). At the moment, I have Staples and WalMart bags scattered across my house. It looks like a back to school sale gone bad!
Reading this thread, I found out about Nancy's closing, so yesterday before work, I spent over $40 - on STICKERS. It's possible I may need help!

That I'm selling PC yet! And after the Avon fiasco, I'm sure I will get the ! JUST WAIT until the Ebay, Amazon, sticker packages start coming to the front door! I think I had two of the 4 sent to my moms!!!

Just a couple sheets of paper. Dont even know if she got my email about the quick starter kit. Certainly nothing thats going to tide me over, I'll tell you that!

Ladies, I certainly hope I didn't say anything to offend ANYONE on here yesterday. I was completely kidding around and if I took it too far, I apologize. I'm certainly not like that and I would NEVER intentionally hurt ANYONE's feelings. Im not sure I can even do that if I want to because I'm not a confrontation kind of Gal! You've really helped me out tremendously the last few days I will be forever grateful for that. I will tone down my sarcasm and downshift to "witty"!

I can't even think of anything that would have offended. Don't worry about it! You were/are fine!

One thing you gotta realize on this site is that you gotta take everything with a grain of salt. It's sometimes hard to "hear" the tone something is meant in. Most of the time people are being kind and/or funny but it doesn't always come off that way.


PS: I would have given you a lot of info to read since you ASKED for it - but then that's me... Most want to spoon feed the info so it doesn't overwhelm (I only give bits here and there to most people too - btw).

You can order anything you want from anywhere you want... as long as you don't give anyone else PC's logo or tag line to use on the products. So, you can order business cards (or labels, stamps, letterhead, etc.) from Vista and use PC's name ONLY (provided you use the ® with the name). However, You CAN NOT use "discover the chef in you" or have them print the cards with the logo. Only authorized vendors can print materials with the logo and tag line. If you search in files, there should be examples of business cards that people have done not using an authorized vendor.

You CAN however use the logo that you download from CC on anything the YOU personally design and print. You can't give it to a printer to print for you, but you can do it yourself. So you can buy business card stock and print it on your own printer and you can use it on flyers that you take to Office Depot or other copy center to be copied for you.

I've done this and they were okay but didn't look very professional (at least mine didn't). I invested in the Merrill lapboards and feel it was so worth it. JMHO

(I used to be so "crafty" but somehow I lost my talent in that area...)

I also ordered a dozen from Merrill and am VERY happy with them. I did make some binder lapboards from binders and don't think they look nearly as professional but use them as overflow (for shows with more than 12 guests). The seam makes it really obvious what you did and over time the pocket tends to pull out from being stuffed. I think the homemade ones are a great started, but when you have money to reinvest, the Merrill ones are much more professional.
