I thought I saw a post awhile back where someone said the cooked (or warmed) tortillas in the micro cooker?

I tried this, now I am microwave challanged remember, and made like rubber frisbee type discs. Which is probably a good thing because if I ever do figure this out I most likley weigh 300+ pounds in a matter of weeks tortillas being my weakness but, how do you do it???

anyone?

Are you talking about the soft shell ones? I just wrap mine in a paper towel and heat for 20-30 seconds if that is what you are talking about.

I did mine in the rice cooker the other night i put the pack in there then took a paper towel, got it wet, rung it out then left it crumpled in a ball then threw it in with the shells and put it in the microwave. I think I did a minute. It's just as easy to wrap them in damp paper towels and micro them. Either way works.

How long did you micro them? they don't need very long.

I have tried like 30 seconds to a minute, turning them over and such. Sprinkling them with water, using wet to damp paper towels etc....

Maybe I just need a new microwave

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I properly warm tortillas in a Micro-Cooker?

To warm tortillas in a Micro-Cooker, stack the tortillas and place them in the cooker. Add a few tablespoons of water to create steam, then cover with the lid. Microwave on high for 30 seconds to 1 minute, checking for warmth. Adjust the time as needed based on your microwave's wattage.

Can I warm different types of tortillas in the Micro-Cooker?

Yes, you can warm corn, flour, or whole wheat tortillas in the Micro-Cooker. Just ensure they are stacked evenly and adjust the cooking time if necessary, as different types may require slight variations in warming time.

Do I need to add water when warming tortillas in the Micro-Cooker?

Yes, adding a few tablespoons of water is recommended. The water creates steam, which helps to keep the tortillas moist and prevents them from drying out while warming.

How many tortillas can I warm at once in the Micro-Cooker?

The number of tortillas you can warm at once depends on the size of your Micro-Cooker. Generally, you can warm about 6-8 tortillas at a time, but make sure they are not overcrowded to ensure even heating.

What should I do if my tortillas are still cold after microwaving?

If your tortillas are still cold after the initial microwaving, simply cover them again and microwave in 15-20 second intervals until they reach your desired warmth. Be cautious not to overheat, as this can make them tough.
