Hi-

This is a great site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a Newbie.............signed up yesterday. Got an order (tiny).....hours after I signed up to be a consultant.

I have spent the last 24 hrs trying to gather all the info I can about Pampered Chef. I have some ideas on my presentation, and will be having my 1st party at my house on the 16th of August. Hopefully my starter kit will be here by then.

I would like to sell at least $4000 worth of products a month, and commission at the very least $800/month., for this to be worth my while. I love the products, but I also need the money as well.

Help.............any advice?

Well, for starters, at $4000 a month you will be at 25% commission which will give you a $1000 commission check.Secondly, set specific goals. Plan on making about $100 per show to start. Decide how much you need to make each specific goal and that will tell you how many shows to do.Third, find someone who you can borrow products from - a sister/brother consultant or your recruiter or director. That way you can earn as much as possible and purchase whatever else you want/need with what you make.Fourth, don't prejudge people. I just learned last week that I lost out on my dream teaching job because the principal thought I wouldn't want part-time...which is what I DO want! Ask everyone you meet if they would like to become a consultant, host a show, place an order, come to your open house. Finally...for tonight...go to your recruiter or director's shows to see how they do it. Find someone locally who is very consistent and ask to see their shows.

You have to be really strong in booking areas to make that kind of money every month! Find another consultant or your director that have strong booking skills and get their advice. That is what they are there for! This is the area that I need to work on most. I am not making the money that I want to make and I need bookings to fix that. I am going to my director's show later this month to see what she says to average 5 bookings per show (with a $1000 show average). I am about to celebrate my 2 year anniversary with PC, and I still look to my director and other consultants for ideas!

Thank you soooooooooooooo much!!!!!

I love this board/forum...............everyone is so helpful!

When does my commission go from 20% to 25%???????????? ;)

You'll earn extra commission each month depending on your sales. 20% commission is your starting point and higher sales each month means higher commission rate. And when you reach $15,000 in career sales, you get a bump in commission and your base is 22%! HOW COOL IS THAT???

You've got some great goals!!! My June was $3,000 in sales, which if you work the business consistently, this is absolutely achievable every month! Bookings and PHONE CALLS! You can't be afraid of the phone!!! I made tons of calls in May and had an awesome June... plan ahead :)
