I have a lady that would like to talk about a fundraiser in March. I have never done a fundraiser so I wanted to ask for help from my "online cluster friends" I will take any help you can give me. Since I have such great notice I will be able to set this up nice. I don't know what would be better, Catalog or Cooking?
TIA

Go into "files" (top of page) and type in fundraiser - you will be flooded with all types of forms and ideas. You can do a kick off Cooking Show for your catalog colllecting...l

If you are doing a cooking show cook off just make sure you make something that is ok for diabetics. The last tthing they will want to have is Turtle Fudge Skillet cake Well actually they'd probably love to have that it just wouldn't be a good choice for them!! Having done a fundraiser for JDRF the group was looking for recipes they could make for their families that would be ok for the diabetics to have. Just my 2 cents!

RecipesDo you have any recipes, I had looked in the files but didn't find anything? I have made the "Moms Apples Crisp" using Splenda for my grandmother who is diabetic, but could use some others. Thanks for everyones input. I have found some good ideas in the files, I open for ideas.

My son was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. The new insulins allow type 1 diabetes to eat everything that everyone else eats. He just has to count the number of carbs before he eats. For example, if a slice of pizza is 30 g. carbs he takes 1 unit of insulin. You might want to ask what kind of diabetics.

Julie when was your son diagnosed? How old is he? My 8 yr old was diagnosed this past Feb. How is he doing?
