Heaven on a Cracker

16 oz Philadelphia Cream Cheese
2/3 cup Miracle Whip
8 oz Shredded Swiss Cheese
1 T Green Onion, finely chopped
16 slices crumbled bacon
3/4 sleeve crushed Ritz crackers

Preheat oven to 350°.

Place cream cheese in the Classic Batter Bowl. Soften in the microwave (about 1 minute).
Add the Swiss Cheese and onion, blending with the Classic Scraper. When blended, put mixture into Deep Dish Baker. Sprinkle crushed crackers and crumbled bacon on top.

Bake for 30 minutes. Serve with crackers or chips (Tostitos are perfect for this).

NOTES:
Bacon can be cooked on Large Bar Pan in 400° oven for 20 minutes. For easy cleanup, you can line bar with Parchment Paper. Remove and allow to cool. Use Food Chopper to make crumbles.

Crackers can be crushed in large Zip-Loc bag with Baker’s Roller.

Hellman's fan here...

I am going to give this a whirl with Hellman's. I know, I might be setting mysel up for failure, but then I have failed before!

I will make a 1/4 version and let everyone know what I find out.

lol. I can't allow it in my house either. Hellmans' or on the West Coast it's "Best Foods Mayo" or Nuthin at all.:D

whats the difference between miracle whip & hellman's????

Miracle Whip has sugar in it. Hellman's is the best. I have both in my kitchen because we are a family divided.

My older sister is so against Miracle Whip, she won't even buy it for her husband who prefers it. We went on vacation together to Wyoming and stopped overnight in a Hotel. We ate in the restaurant in the hotel. Their special was prime rib w/mayo horseradish sauce. She actually asked the waiter if the sauce was made with Mayo or Miracle Whip!!

I use both. It is a preference. Miracle Whip says "Salad Dressing" on the bottle which I never understood because I wouldn't put in on my salad, but then again it is really good in Potato salad and Pasta salad. I bet that what they mean

Ginger-thanks for posting the recipe! This sounds so GOOD!!!!

You're welcome, but its Kimmys' recipe..;) . Now as far as salad dressing Rut Roh..here comes my age:( ) there was not alot of readily prepared dressings as today, also they were expensive, So we would put a dollop of Miracle Whip ( was cheaper than Mayo) on our salads. Then it became popular & EVERYONE started putting it on EVERYTHING!!!

Trust me, I strongly believe that Miracle Whip is straight from the devil himself, but it is *THE* secret ingredient in this recipe. If you use mayo, that's fine, but you're missing out on the real Heaven On a Cracker Experience in doing so!http://www.countingcows.de/wink.gif

Kim,

This recipe sounds wonderful!! Am I blind or is the Miracle Whip not listed in the directions? I see it in the list of ingredients but not in the instructions. I have searched the old files to find out where to put it in, and they all are typed out like this one.....

TIA!!!

You're not blind-- I left out when to add it, but you just add it to the creamed cheese mixture. Basically, you just combine everything but the crackers & bacon.Sorry for the mix-up! (No pun intended!)
