I live in San Diego, where gas prices have been jumping a lot on a daily basis. Right now gas is around $5.00 per gallon. I have a party tomorrow evening and I am so afraid that the gas prices will, again, effect people buying products so my Host won't have a successful party!!

Does anyone have anything I can say or do to help make her party successful?

It's more important than ever that they get essential items in their kitchen so they can cook more at home. Not only will they be cooking more healthy but they'll be saving $$ on gas because they won't be eating out as much. We all need social time. So let's visit and shop at the same time.I'd also suggest car pooling to the party.

With gas being what it is right now, focus on those elements (like the DCB) that will allow them to save lots of money by cooking at home in the same time it would take to go out to eat. 2-3 meals out would pay for the DCB! DCB and the 12" skillet are the workhorses in my kitchen when it comes to meal time. Then a set of cookware comes in behind them in 3rd place.

Love it!!!:)

Gas in Northern Ontario, Canada is approx $6.30 per gallon (1.40 per litre for regular) and my closest town for shows is 25 mins. I will be suggesting to my hosts the carpool and purchasing products to save money on food and gas vs travel to eat out.
