I am looking at buying my husband a new MP3 player for Christmas - he's in Iraq and he LOVES music. While I was looking on Amazon.com at MP3 players I started looking at cheaper versions that don't hold as much for myself. I personally am not the music fanatic that he is and would mostly use it to listen to the downloadable MP3s on CC. I'm wondering how much memory I should have if I'm just going to have a little music - probably less than 100 songs - and then training downloads. Wondering if anyone knows the song to training ration - if it's a player that holds about 1,000 songs - how much training will that hold. Anyone know? Or have a recommendation?

The average training video on Consultant's Corner is about 27-28mb (some larger, some smaller). So if you just say an average of 28 mb per audio training, you could put 357 of them on a 1gb drive. I don't think you'd need a 16gb or 32gb for what you are wanting to do. A 4gb or 8gb should suffice. ;)

Thanks so much Sheila! The one I was looking at is a 4G and only $22 - so that makes me happy. Oh, and it's red - that also makes me happy. Clearly I have no idea about all that tech stuff - I can use most of it but have no idea how or why it works, and quite frankly most of the time I like it that way. Like I said it's my hubby that is the music lover and needs the 16 or 32G - and that's what he's getting for Christmas. Me, my version of his needs would be the Kindle because I'd much prefer reading to listening to music.

I have over 4GB on my iPod of trainings BUT i have cds on there too that aren't offered on CC. With trainings alone I have over 8days worth of listening if you listened 24/7.
