I was looking for a good newsletter service to use and put "pampered chef newsletter" in the search bar.

Unbelievable - do they really think they can get by with this? I found one last night and turned it in (thread below)..so somebody else can turn these in. It only took one search for me - on yahoo- I typed in Pampered Chef Consultant and the one I found was the 4th choice.

Just one more.....

http://www.foods4u2cookhome.com/

the link is halfway down the page, not hyperlinked, but still...

wow.....absolutely crazy!!

I a little new to the online thing, but I am confused. I thought we could do something similar to the first link if we didn't mention PC by name or have our website posted. Please clarify this for me. I don't want to make the same mistakes as others have.

Can I ask what address at PC you email these to?

Yes please clarify b/c I was under the impression from reading the material that as long as website was not listed...would be good to go. Email is ok and advertising was too w/o using the words 'Pampered Chef' in it---I thought.

Now after all the policing going on day and night on here, I'm not so sure anymore. I was also under the impression that hosting an onling party was allowed as long as the advertising guidelines were followed. As in putting out that you're having an online party but that people have to email you to get more info on it and a link etc.--which is not a pampered chef biz link of course.

I understand about the link to your website only being allowed in your personal email and not 'sharing' pc with other companies info/tables. But need a little clarification here.

TIA

They just go to the Solution Center (under Consultants Corner, Home Office E-mails).

As for the first one, I sent it in to see if we could do it that way. I don't see anything that has a link, and it doesn't mention PC, that is why I named the thread "Sleek Way to Advertise!".

The only mention of Pampered Chef is when you click the link to e-mail her....the Subject line of the e-mail says "I am interested in Pampered Chef Products".

If we can do it, then I am getting my info all over the web with such blurbs!

I'll let you know what they say.

I personally would not do anything like this, but I dont think she has commited any hanious crime? if I am mistaken, please correct me...

Her website is listed... I think that's where the rules come in...

Because the basis of our business, the reason we are SO successful is because we are a business of building relationships...that requires talking to people, meeting with people, getting to know people, finding out their needs and finding ways to meet their needs. If we simply set up our businesses to take onlnie orders and be a cyber-store...it's all over - the relationships are gone and we are no different than any other web store out there. That is not what The Pampered Chef is about.

Well said, Carolyn!

I understand and appreciate the getting out and meeting folks part, but I also agree with the we pay for it, we should be able to advertise it. I WANT everyone to know what I do, I had two websites of my own besides the PC one and I wanted to let my customers know <I'm in Real Estate> that I also am a PC Consultant, what BETTER people to boost my business to huh? But it is against the rules. I did an ad on my Yacht Club website when I first started, even PRIOR to getting my kit and THAT is when I was TURNED IN.....by a member of my own CLUSTER......THAT was sooooo rude. I wanted to scream, she could have CALLED ME AND TOLD ME....okay, I'm NOT bitter, LOL.....but I still think that with this day and age, you have a way to REALLY get your name out there to your community and whey CAN'T we do just that?

Selling on EBAY? CRIME.....ROTTEN....can't STAND IT....THAT is my PET PEEVE......

Okay, I'm done.....I'm on the fence....we should be able to advertise on the web, and fine put restrictions on it, but let us gain some ground in our community........(yes, now I"m really done....LOL...) Thanks for letting me put my cent in.....
