Announce milestones, no matter how tiny, even if it's just a round of applause for taking an online course.

I loved the fact that she respects her cluster's time by getting through the material very efficiently while still making sure everyone understands it. There's still an opportunity for networking after everything is covered, but if someone needs to go, they can.
My ED is helping me with training of my new consultant, doing the calls while I listen in (we're about 2000+ miles apart).
One thing that I want to do, once I am a Director, is to create a library of resources for my consultants to borrow from. I know there are lots of online resources, so I'm thinking more along the lines of outside PC resources. For example: I would have loved to buy the whole set of Tammy Stanley's CDs plus book etc, but I just can't afford that kind of an expense. As a Director, I would hope my income would be a bit greater that I could invest in something like this, and then make it available to my team to borrow. I would also want to include books that would be helpful, like The Aladdin Factor. Since I'm not near Director yet, I haven't worked out the logistics yet, but it's something I want to do.
A great director in direct sales typically possesses strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the products they represent. They should also be motivational, approachable, and capable of fostering a positive team environment. Additionally, adaptability and strategic thinking are essential for navigating challenges and seizing opportunities in the market.
A director can inspire their team by leading by example, sharing personal success stories, and celebrating team achievements. Regularly providing encouragement, setting clear goals, and offering constructive feedback also help in motivating team members. Creating a supportive atmosphere where team members feel valued and heard is crucial for maintaining high morale.
When building their team, a director should prioritize traits such as enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude. It's important to look for individuals who are self-motivated and have strong interpersonal skills. Additionally, diversity in skills and backgrounds can enhance team dynamics and creativity, leading to better overall performance.
Communication is vital for a director as it ensures clarity and alignment within the team. Effective communication helps in conveying expectations, providing feedback, and addressing concerns promptly. A director who communicates openly fosters trust and transparency, which are essential for a cohesive and productive team environment.
Adaptability is crucial for a director's success, especially in the ever-changing landscape of direct sales. A great director must be able to pivot strategies in response to market trends, customer feedback, and team dynamics. Being open to change and willing to explore new approaches can lead to innovative solutions and sustained growth for the team.
