I just sent out my newsletter to my best customer. She lives out of state, but her daughter is a friend of mine, and she would prefer to do business with another Christian.

She would like to do a book party! This is completely doable for me. She's requested 10 books.

Only problem is ... I just scoped out the catalog situation and I only have 12-15 books to my name. Plenty enough for a show ... but not enough if I send 10 to her! (Now I am kicking myself for selling my extra books to my AD!

Anybody know if I can get fewer than 25 catalogs? I really hate to pay $17, plus shipping just to get them out to her? I do have a message in to my recruiter to see if she has any, b/c she's out of the e-mail loop and may not have gotten rid of hers!

Is there anyone else in your group of fellow consultants that would give you 10 now and then you could give her/him 10 back when the new spring ones come out? I've done this a lot and it has been a huge blessing!!!

Keep checking...someone in your cluster might come through with some for you. Do you have a PWS? Maybe call and ask if she can make do with less catalogs, and utilize the PWS, as well? Good luck with this!!!

My recruiter saved the day! She has 3 extra packs and I agreed to give her a pack when the new catalog comes out!

Check to see if they will fit in a flat rate envelope. They just might fit. It is $4.60 to mail it. If they don't fit in the envelope, there is a flat rate box for $8.95.

I know your dilemma is having enough books! Someone on here was selling abunch of catalog, check the marketplace!

If you are sending catalogs, they can go bound printed matter and be shipped cheaper. They may not get there as fast (I think it 2-9 days) but it may save you some money.

Depends the to and from zip...often it isn't much of a savings to matter anymore.

Well, my car is down and Monday is a holiday anyway ... so I am going to mail them Tuesday. That will give her plenty of time since she wants the Feb. specials anyway.

I think I am going to suggest that we do this 100 percent by credit or debit cards. If anyone writes a check, they should write it to her. Then she can deposit the checks and use her debit card. She'd benefit if her bank gives her "points" and I wouldn't have the delay of cashing out of state checks or mailing them. I am usually paranoid and verify funds from EVERY CHECK I get ... in person if I can ... and so few banks are national!
