I had kept Fox News channel on since this afternoon when they ran that first story. They just had another one on a show on their called The Line Up. Looks like an entire show devoted to missing persons.

They interviewed one of the reporters from the newspaper there as well as a police investigator. I thought they both answered questions very well, and put Paige into a positive light- repeating that the "common thread" they have found about her is that she was a loving mother who would not have left her kids.

Glad they are picking up this story and running it more than once. Someone has got to know SOMETHING that will help them find her!

I just saw the same story

aw, man! I missed it!

I didn't get to watch the news tonight to see if it was here in Ohio. But after the Jessie Davis case here, that was broadcast all over the place...I pray that Paige is found...and in a different outcome than what we had here. The whole thing is just so sad. My prayers are with her family & friends.

Here's another one - not sure if anyone saw it:

Sheriff: Birgfeld worked for escort service

A telephone conversation between Paige Birgfeld and her daughter late June 28 is among the missing mother’s last known contacts with anybody, Birgfeld’s first husband said Thursday.

“(Paige’s cellular) phone broke up while they were talking,” Howard Beigler of Aurora said.

“The most interesting part was Paige didn’t try to call back.”

In the past five months, Beigler and Birgfeld had rekindled their relationship, he said.

They divorced in 1997.

Beigler said he wasn’t sure which conversation happened last — his conversation with Birgfeld or her conversation with her daughter.

After meeting her in Eagle on June 28, she was to have returned to Grand Junction, while he also returned to his home. He called her on her cell phone around 9 p.m. with the intention of making sure she arrived home all right.

Beigler and her family members have said Birgfeld indicated everything was fine during her conversation with Beigler.

Investigators believe she was roughly five miles from her home at that point.

Beigler said he learned about the abrupt-ending conversation between Birgfeld and her oldest daughter, 8, after he spoke with the girl on June 30. Beigler was reported missing Saturday.

Mesa County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Heather Gierhart declined comment on any of those conversations, citing the active investigation.

The 34-year-old mother of two girls and a boy, ages 3, 5 and 8, was last seen alive June 28.

In a news release Thursday, officials said the investigation’s main focus was on people who last had contact with Birgfeld in the days leading up to her disappearance.

The sheriff’s office also confirmed Birgfeld was involved in an escort service in Grand Junction. She also earned money selling cooking products with The Pampered Chef Ltd.

“We’re not elaborating,” about her work at the escort service, Gierhart said.

Beigler declined to talk about his ex-wife’s work. Records from a 2005 arrest involving her second husband, Rob Dixon, suggest she performed topless massages.

“It wasn’t anything illegal,” Beigler said.

Birgfeld’s Ford Focus was burned Sunday night two miles southwest of her home in a parking lot owned by Walker Products SMS, 727 23 Road. Sheriff’s officials on Thursday said they still haven’t ruled out the possibility of random vandalism.

‘Not there yet’

Birgfeld’s father, Frank Birgfeld, said he’s been asked on several occasions in recent days if he needed volunteers to walk river banks or various rural areas across the county, in a search for a body.

Now a full week after his daughter’s disappearance, the answer’s still no.

“I choose not to think we’re at that stage yet,” he said.

A good portion of Birgfeld’s July 4 holiday was spent distributing missing-person fliers — strangers or friends who knew Paige Birgfeld through Moms Club International did the same in downtown Grand Junction during Thursday’s Farmers’ Market.

“There is that needle in the haystack,” Frank Birgfeld said.
