I have been hoping PC would do more storage items. I guess that's what the glass containers with lids are for. Hmmm...would have prefered plastic and I really hope they aren't like pyrex and cost a fortune. You can buy pyrex anywhere for cheap.

I actually think glass is a good idea, since there are so many people out there with concerns about using plastic these days.

Glass is better in the microwave and oven. No need to transfer your food.

How do I locate Sheilas facebook page???? Jeanne

I'm going to have to kick everyone out of MY closet. I am challenged to find room for everything but I will give it a try. I am so excited to see these items in person! I hit the $3000 level! WooHoo!

  • #159
So is the new stoneware glazed? It doesnt look like it but I cant tell for sure on my phone.

  • #160
Yes, Tracy, it is glazed.

  • #161
They appear to be the kind of things you can put in the freezer, fridge, oven or microwave. I also have heard concerns about plastic in the microwave. The lids, however, are not plastic, and I take it, not microwave safe.

Going by the sizes, the smaller ones are for individuall servings, the larger ones could be for whole meals, like a meatloaf prepared in the oven.

We all know you can't bake stoneware in the oven or microwave when it's cold.

  • #162
The picture shows a flyer stating the glass and lids are microwave safe. You have to loosen the tabs before microwaving.

Sheila just posted information on her facebook about the new RUFTH trivet, a new $1 cookbook (not seasons best) and some items that have been discontinued due to rising cost. I am at work and cannot get on facebook on this computer to repost pictures.

Carafe, cutting board with measuring cups and colander and bowl set have been discontinued due to price increases

Shipping has raised a quarter, bow up to $4.75. Due to oil prices, small increases on things most around 50 cents.

So then the new ridged piece is only available in taupe? I am not worried about color. I have the old white glaze and my dcb is cranberry. Just trying to wrap my head around this new limited edition taupe color. I prefer to only bring things to shows that customers can actually purchase but with the random variety I have in colors I might need to change that policy.

I thought they said no more trivets... not that I'm upset :)

The $1 cookbook is titled Cookbook For A Cause, and says "Volume 2". It has a subtitle of "TLC's Stars [something I can't make out] Feeding America"

I think the new cookbook is $3 and $1 will be donated.

She put up a picture of the New Kit, I posted here since it's not products per se.

  • #168
On sheila's comments the same question was asked in regards to the trivets and from what she says they (PC) changed their minds when the consultants voiced their discontent.

Tracy, it looks like the ridged baker is unglazed. The 9x13, DCB, square baker and deep dish baker are glazed in taupe.

Provide you household with a healthier way of cooking by using the Small Ridged Baker. 1/4" high ridges elevate food ssuch as meatloaf, chicken, small roasts and even meatballs out of the grease.

Must-have items for any bacon lover! Microwave up to 6 pieces of bacon in just a matter of minutes. All the grease settles between the ridges, resultin in perfectly crips bacon.

9" x 6 1/2" baker fits in most microwaves and toaster ovens. Use our parchment paper to cover foods if needed.

Steam vegetables by filling bottom of baker up to ridges in water, position vegetables in a single layer and cover with parchment paper or wax paper. perfect for asparagus or halved butternut squash

Make the Small Ridged Baker a star at your next show! Demonstrate it with the new Tapenade-Turkey Meatballs or Mile-High Apple Pie srecipes from our SBRC or past favorites such as the 30-minute Chicken or South-of-the-border Meatloaf

Cleaning Tip: Allow vessel to cool completely prior to cleaning. Drain excess grease and fill baker with water up to the top of the ridges microwave on HIGH for 3-4 minutes. Remove baker and carefully our our water. use Kitchen Brush to remove excess residue. Rinse wtih warm water.

Or I think that's what it says...

The directions for the 30-min chicken flip back and forth depending on the source.

I can't wait to see the new trivet and apron. But Black? Really - going to be even harder to keep nice while doing a show. At least with the denim I could do cookies or something w/ flour and not have it look a total mess.

  • #194
Is the new apron really black? Or are you talking about the question mark one on the CC?
Thanks to everyone for posting pictures!
Love the idea of the bamboo turn-about. It will go perfect in my kitchen! But there is no middle slot for the food chopper? I didn't notice that in the pix.

Again, thanks to everyone for posting advance pictures!

Sheila uploaded a picture of the New Consultant Kit spread of the catalog and there's a small inset picture of a consultant wearing a black apron. It's only waist up, though. She posted on FB that she missed taking a picture of it full-length, but that there is some color along the edges and the ties.

Not wild about it either. It's better than that ghastly white or cranberry, though.
I liked the French Vanilla.

I can only copy what she's got on her business Page when I'm at work. Today's pictures are on her personal profile, because she's uploading straight from her phone.

Tristen posted a picture of the apron here
