I had my first show as a host two weeks ago and decided to become a consultant the next day (after a lot of researching and discussing with hubby) so one of my friends who was at my show is havng a show (actually a few of my friends are) my question is, do I get any kind of discount, other than the obvious comission I would get.

No, as a consultant you do not get the booking benefit(even if your party was before you signed) Sorry.

I posted this in the shout box but you get so much more out of this business! If you need more products without paying for them, have a kick off show. You just had a party but you can use this show as practice to help you out.

You do not get the booking benefit. I did this same thing when I signed up. You do get a 20% discount off products for being a consultant but I always host a show of my own to earn the things I want for free instead of using my discount. And you will eanr SO MUCH stuff during the qualification time when you meet the goals Pampered Chef sets for you that with that and the commissition you will not miss the booking benefit at all! :D

Welcome, Pam and Jennifer's advice is the truth! Good luck with your business!

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do to prepare for my first show as a consultant?

To prepare for your first show, start by familiarizing yourself with the Pampered Chef product line and the catalog. Create a guest list and send out invitations, whether through social media, email, or physical invites. Plan your demonstration, focusing on a few key products and recipes that showcase their features. Practice your presentation and ensure you have all necessary materials and supplies ready for the event.

How do I handle questions from guests during my first show?

It's natural to feel nervous about questions from guests. If you don't know the answer, it's perfectly fine to admit it and offer to find out later. Encourage guests to ask questions throughout the demonstration, and try to engage them by asking for their opinions or experiences with the products. This interaction can create a more enjoyable atmosphere and help you build rapport with your guests.

What if I don't have enough products to showcase at my first show?

If you don't have a full range of products, focus on a few key items that you believe will resonate with your audience. You can also use the Pampered Chef catalog to highlight additional products and their benefits. Consider using visuals, such as product images or videos, to supplement your demonstration and provide a comprehensive overview of what Pampered Chef offers.

How can I encourage guests to place orders during my first show?

To encourage orders, create excitement around the products by demonstrating their benefits and unique features. Offer special promotions or discounts for orders placed during the show. Engage guests by asking for their input and preferences, and provide personalized recommendations based on their needs. Make the ordering process easy and accessible, and remind them of any limited-time offers or exclusive items.

What should I do after my first show to follow up with guests?

After your first show, it's important to follow up with guests to thank them for attending and to remind them about their orders. Send personalized messages via email or social media, and include any relevant information about products they expressed interest in. Additionally, invite them to your future shows or offer them the opportunity to host their own event. This follow-up can help build relationships and encourage repeat business.
