You can also find recipes on the internet for hot spiced tea that area great. I have made one before and put in 1/2 pint jars for gifts. Look on the internet and you'll find this recipe if you are interested.

I try not to book further than 60 days away. However, sometimes I have a host who wants to book another show several months away and I don't pass up that opportunity, especially if she was a great host. Usually the only hosts that want to have another show are the ones that were most...
I made this at one show and it was a big hit. I will use the bar pan in the future because it did run over in the oven (cleaned it as best I could before it dried). I will make this again sometime soon.

Thanks for all your ideas and encouragement. I did get something out of it - tried new recipes and everyone liked them. I especially liked the chocolate pecan lattice tart and it was very easy and turned out pretty. I'll definitely do that one again soon. Now my challenge is to turn my small...
Okay, I hate to post this but I'm disgusted after I had my fall preview today. My recruit and I sent out 90 invites and only 7 attended with $77 in sales and no bookings. We tried to call everybody, but lots of people said "I'll do my best to be there" and some we couldn't reach (out of town)...
I have a host that has rescheduled for 8/29 and I still don't think she's doing the show. She was coming by to pickup her host packet and doesn't even have that yet and we're 4 days away from her show date. I've decided unless she gives me a guest list, I'm not going to plan another show. She...
WTG, Sarah! I'm going to have samples of a couple of the batter bowl mixes at my fall preview. I hope to get some pre-orders or at least some orders for those that want to make their own for gifts.

My fall preview/open house is Saturday. I've invited 90 people. I've finally decided on a menu: Chocolate pecan lattice tart, veggies & dip, pound cake cupcakes made in the new silicone pan, sandwiches using bread tube bread (cucumber and tomato with dill/mayo topping), tomato basil squares...
Don't forget the small batter bowl! Also, the prep bowls are great for small servings of leftovers. The small oval baker and small bar pan would also be good items to mention.

Wow! Sounds like you have a great start already with all the bookings. My first show was 5 months ago. I had $800 in sales and 3 bookings. That got me off to a good start. I didn't give any extra incentives. TPC offers so much already to hosts. The only thing I'm thinking of giving extra...
Congrats! Wow, what a haul that was. Lucky recruits/hosts who receive those incentives. What a boost for your business. Thanks for sharing the photo.

It doesn't take long to type up the list. I keep it in a word processing file on my computer so that I can use the same recipes list over and over if I cook them again. I just print 1 page with the list for 2 recipes on it. I believe it does help and I also think it reminds people to order...
If you have them, use the write-in receipts. I also usually print a list of products I use in each recipe I demo showing item number and page number in the catalog (put in folders you pass out with catalogs). This helps with everyone trying to find things during the entire demo which can be...
