Who's Going to the Feb 2 Ohio Training?

In summary, Darla Oelmann's Regional Training is February 2 in Dublin, OH. Cheffer buddies are encouraged to attend, and some will. Ye Olde Escort is planning on driving there and staying the night.

I'm going to be attending the February 2 Regional Training for Darla Oelmann's downline. I was just wondering if any of my cheffer buddies were going to be there, too. If so, maybe we can get together for dinner after the training.

Bumping to see if I can get anyone's attention.

You got my attention!

I will be there...I just put my registration in the mail yesterday. (Last day to get early bird registration! )

Holy cow...Mapquest shows it's about a 2.5 hour drive from here! One of my clustermates and I are planning on leaving VERY EARLY from here, getting there a bit early and having breakfast before registration.

I KNOW it will be worth the drive, and the $$ though!

Where abouts in Ohio?
Deanna

Regionals (with Darla Oelmann's downline) are in Dublin at the Crowne Plaza Hotel

Cool. I'll see you there.

I'll be there. I am about 20 minutes from there.

I went last year, but my director hasn't even given me anything on it this year. Maybe we weren't invited:(!

I'll be there! My director is originally from Ohio...it'll be nice to put some faces to names!

Anyone up for dinner after the meeting? I'd love a chance to chat with some fellow Cheffers.

I'm going! Yay!I even switched my work sked and got that night off work, so I will be going down with my clustermates, which is good! I don't know if Ye Olde Escort is up for the drive, and I was NOT looking forward to being on the road by 7 a.m. and getting there bleary-eyed and possibly late! So my clustermates and I are going down Friday night! My director is anti-Chef Success so I'd have a hard time explaining how I know all of you! Of course, I can say I've seen Kelly in the neighborhood!

Not sure about afterwards, I think my group was planning on stopping off for a quick bite on the way home (as in, closer to home)

We ARE planning on getting there early for breakfast, though! Any other brave souls for that!??

I'll be with my director, but breakfast shouldn't be a problem. I can't remember; is there a cafe at the hotel?

I will be there! Last year was great and I am excited for this year.

The info I have states that the restaurant opens at 6AM and they offer a breakfast buffet (I am sure there are other choices too) for $8.95. You will have to PM me your cell number so we can catch up at breakfast....anyone else that's gonna be there for breakfast let's exchange numbers!

I'm already there! The weather reports for Indiana were looking really nasty for Friday. The Furry Guy and I decided it made more sense for me to drive to Dublin, OH on Thursday so I wouldn't have to drive in the mess. Everything should be fine by Saturday, when I'm on my way home. The hotel is nice. I'm working in the hotel's business center right now.

Somehow I missed your post Rae!

I started a new post to see who was going to be there for breakfast with us!

Are you staying at the same hotel as the training?

A couple clustermates & I are going to drive over tomorrow morning from IN. Does anyone know how bad the roads are between Ft. Wayne & Dublin?? I usually go through St. Mary's, Ohio on my way over. Thanks!!

I am hoping the roads aren't bad tomorrow morning too!
It's a bunch of slush here...and supposed to get very cold and snow tonight...don't want all of that to turn to ice!

They weren't too bad last night. My director drove in from New Haven after a show. Don't know how they are now, though.

Not to worry, Kelly. A thread is easy to miss. ;) Yes, we're at the same hotel as the training. It's great.

How do you get an invite to Regional? Is it through our Director? I went to Darla's last year, but this year never received an invite. Will I get a different Regional training invite or did my Director drop the ball???

Rhonda~

I honestly don't know how they go about "inviting" people. Not sure if a Director needs to be involved to be able to invite their cluster, or what the deal is. I would drop your Director an email and ask her about it....especially so you don't miss out on any further training!

I do know that there is no registration "at the door" tomorrow, so I can't even call my Director (who is there already tonight) to see if you could just show up.

I hope it's not that your Director dropped the ball!

Thanks Kelly. Actually I called her about a week and a half ago and left her a voice mail about it - She has not returned my call. I wouldn't be able to go at the last minute now anyway. I would have loved to have gone though!

My Director is...um....I'll say cautious about this site. It's mostly because many times, folks can become so absorbed that they forget to make their calls! Or so chock-full of different ideas that they don't implement any!

I'm going to be there tomorrow and really look forward to seeing some Cheffers there. I'm going to be at the Registration Table and will be wearing my red PC micro-suede jacket with my black silver-studded PC shirt. (LOVE that shirt...makes me feel like a rock star! LOL!)

See you guys tomorrow morning!

I live just north of Dublin (about 20 minutes) and the roads are fine here now. We had a little snow this afternoon but we just got home from eating dinner out and they are fine). Probably not much to worry about for tomorrow.

Thanks for letting us know Nicki...I was wondering!
