Getting Excited! - Kids Consignment Sale Booth

In summary, when marketing to the "thrifty" at a Kids Consignment Sale, it is important to be creative and offer discounts and coupons, make your booth stand out, use social media, offer freebies, and host contests or giveaways. These strategies will help attract attention and encourage customers to visit your booth and make purchases.

Kids Consignment Sale - How to market to the "thrifty"?I am doing a booth at a Kids Consignment Sale event coming up in late March. Now I need to start thinking 'outside the box'. These folks will be coming into the event looking for real bargains because of trying to save money in this economy. I will have to be creative in how I attract attention- Like having a display board showing "Budget Friendly Recipes", or "FREE is BETTER" or things that would appeal to their "thrifty" sides. :D

Has anyone else done something like this with a display?- where you appeal to the budget-friendly aspect of what we offer?

Ideas? 1. Offer discounts and coupons: Offer discounts or coupons to those who purchase items from your booth at the consignment sale. This will encourage people to come to your booth, as they know they can save money. Consider offering discounted prices for bulk purchases or special discounts for loyal customers. 2. Make your booth stand out: Make your booth stand out from the crowd by creating an inviting and eye-catching display. Use bright colors and appealing visuals to attract people’s attention. If possible, create a fun theme or game that customers can participate in. 3. Use social media: Utilize social media to spread awareness about your booth and the items you are selling. Create a special hashtag to use throughout the event to promote your booth and engage with potential customers. Share pictures of your booth and the items you are selling on different platforms. 4. Offer freebies: Consider offering free items such as stickers, business cards, or even samples of products. This will help draw more people to your booth, as they always love free stuff. You can also offer free tutorials or workshops related to the items you are selling. 5. Host contests or giveaways: Hosting contests or giveaways is a great way to promote your booth and attract new customers. Ask customers to post pictures of their purchases from your booth on social media and tag your business for a chance to win something. You could also give away branded merchandise or gift cards.

1. Offer a coupon or discount: One way to attract the attention of thrifty shoppers is to offer a coupon or discount specifically for the consignment sale. This could be a percentage off their purchase or a certain dollar amount off if they spend a certain amount. This will entice them to come to your booth and potentially make a purchase.2. Highlight the savings: Make sure to prominently display the original retail prices of the items you are selling, along with the discounted price. This will show the customers just how much they are saving by shopping at the consignment sale. You could even have a sign that says "Save up to 70% off retail prices!"3. Create a "Dollar Deals" section: Set up a section of your booth where everything is priced at $1. This will catch the eye of thrifty shoppers and they may be more likely to make a purchase if they see a good deal.4. Display budget-friendly items: Have a section of your booth dedicated to items that are budget-friendly, such as gently used clothing or toys for under $5. This will appeal to those looking for a bargain and may entice them to browse the rest of your booth as well.5. Offer tips and tricks for saving money: Have a display board with tips and tricks for saving money on kids' items, such as how to shop at consignment sales, how to repurpose items, and how to make the most out of hand-me-downs. This will show your customers that you understand their need to save money and are there to help.6. Provide DIY ideas: Another way to appeal to thrifty shoppers is by offering DIY ideas for kids' items. This could include making your own baby food, creating sensory bins, or repurposing clothing into new items. This will show that you are not just there to sell items, but also to provide helpful information for budget-friendly living.7. Partner with other vendors: Consider partnering with other vendors at the consignment sale who offer budget-friendly products or services. This could include couponing classes, budget-friendly meal planning, or even financial planning for families. This will attract more customers to your booth and provide a well-rounded experience for them.Remember to be creative and think outside the box when marketing to thrifty shoppers. Show them that you understand their need to save money and provide them with solutions and ideas to help them do so. Good luck with your booth at the consignment
