Has anyone made this recipe in the grill pan using a pantry rub in place of the fajitas seasoning? I was thinking about using the SW Seasoning at a show. Thanks.

I use a combo of the Chipotle and the SW seasoning - yum! I do the same with the fajitas in the DCB.

Thanks - I happen to have both. How much do you use?

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a different seasoning mix for Easy Chicken Fajitas?

Yes, you can substitute the fajita seasoning with other seasoning mixes such as taco seasoning, chili powder, or a homemade blend of spices like cumin, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder to suit your taste preferences.

What are some homemade seasoning alternatives for fajitas?

A simple homemade fajita seasoning can be made by mixing 1 teaspoon each of chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder, along with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the quantities based on your flavor preference.

Can I use fresh herbs instead of seasoning mix?

Absolutely! Fresh herbs like cilantro, oregano, and thyme can add a vibrant flavor to your chicken fajitas. Just chop them finely and add them during cooking for a fresh taste.

Is there a low-sodium option for fajita seasoning?

Yes, you can create a low-sodium fajita seasoning by using herbs and spices without added salt. Focus on using garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and paprika, and avoid pre-packaged mixes that often contain high sodium levels.

How can I make my fajitas spicier without using fajita seasoning?

To add heat to your fajitas, consider incorporating cayenne pepper, crushed red pepper flakes, or diced jalapeños into your chicken mixture. You can also serve the fajitas with a spicy salsa or hot sauce on the side.
