Does anyone know how to adjust the new grinder? I heard a demonstrator at conference saying you could adjust the grinder to make fine pepper or coarse pepper. Same with the coarseness of salt. It was crowded and I could not hear how.

The silver top is called the finial. Just FYI. :)

Yeah I knew that but the word escaped me at midnight and I didn't feel like searching for it. Thanks for adding that in for me!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I adjust the new grinder for different coarseness?

To adjust the new grinder for different coarseness, locate the adjustable knob or dial on the top or side of the grinder. Turn it clockwise for a finer grind and counterclockwise for a coarser grind. Make small adjustments and test the grind until you achieve your desired texture.

Is there a specific setting for coarse or fine grinding?

Yes, the grinder typically has markings or settings that indicate coarse, medium, and fine. Refer to the user manual for guidance on which settings correspond to each level of coarseness, and adjust accordingly based on your needs.

Can I adjust the grinder while it is in use?

It is recommended to adjust the grinder when it is not in use to avoid any potential damage or clogging. Adjusting while grinding may lead to inconsistent results or strain on the mechanism.

What types of ingredients can I use with the grinder?

The grinder is designed for a variety of spices, herbs, and even some seeds. However, avoid using overly moist or oily ingredients, as they can clog the grinder and affect its performance.

How do I know if I have achieved the right coarseness?

You can test the coarseness by grinding a small amount of your desired ingredient and checking the texture. For spices, a fine grind should feel like powder, while a coarse grind should have visible pieces. Adjust as needed based on your taste preferences.
