thanks......

That is just terrible...I hope he gets the max sentence, keep us informed. There are way too many domestic violence cases out there and most of the time the guilty person doesn't get as much sentence as they should.

Had he been violent w/ her in the past?

I will let you know what the verdict is as soon as we find out. Now to answer your question about him been violent before I don't know because I last talked to her Mother's Day 2007 and she said they got married by justice of peace and everything was going good (think that is who married them or courthouse) and they were going to do a big wedding in April 2008 (for one year anniversary) to invite everyone and then in July 2007 this happens.

wow, Nikki. I am so sorry this happened to your family and I hope he gets his just reward...you can be sure he will when he meets his Maker.

Nikki...some how I missed your first postings about this...I pray that he gets what he deserves...and that God gives you and your family peace through this time. So sorry that this happened to your family!

Nikki, prayers coming your way that justice is served. I am sorry your family is dealing with this.

May God be the wind beneath your wings as He carries you through this awful yet much needed trial.

Nikki, I am so sorry this happened.

And when he is sentenced, do not let false guilt get to you!

I know it's not the same thing ... but after a hit and run driver killed my mother, and I spoke on behalf of the family and he went to jail ... I just couldn't get it out of my mind how young he was. The enemy was saying, "I hope you're happy with yourself. You just sent a boy to prison." It took a long time to realize that HIS ACTIONS sent him to prison, not my words. Also, it took a long time for me for to forgive him. The only reason I did was that I could not stand to live with that any more.

My prayers are with you and your family - keep us posted!

Hugs and Prayers Nikki.

Prayers said.

Keeping you and your family close in prayer. {{HUGS}}

The situation will be in my prayers.

Niki I am so sorry to hear/read about this. I hope he gets what he deserves. How sad.

Nikki ~ {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}} to you and your family while you go through this difficult time. I KNOW what you're going through.

Three years ago, my nephew's wife (Jenny) and soon-to-be-born baby girl was shot and killed by Jenny's brother! When the trial came, it was so difficult for the family because you have to relive the tragedy all over again. Of course, the defense tried to nail Brandon (my nephew) for instigating the whole matter. The defense lawyer came up to me after the verdict was read and said, "sorry, trying to nail it on Brandon was my only hope for my client." Guess what I said to him..."you ARE one of those SCUM BAG lawyers I have come to hate, and believe me, I don't like using the word "hate," but I can with you! I hope everyday you practice, you remember that. It's a shame you have to take on cases you don't believe in, I pity you."

I will DEFINITELY pray for all of you to get through this...it's going to be very difficult. But know that all of us here are praying for all of you and I hope it helps you and your family to know that.

If you need any support from me...PM me anytime!
