I LOVE using my scrapers to help me clean my microwave. Keep in mind, I'm about 5'1" and I HATED cleaning this one item, up on the stool, scrubbing....but I now use my scrapers to get off ANYTHING that is stuck on there....I run the micro for 1 min. with nothing in it, then scrape, then wipe down....:D Now, if teens could only remember to COVER those splattering items.....LOL:D :D :D :D

That then leads to cleaning tons of other stubborn items....

Those scrapers...hmm....SMALL BUT MIGHTY....lol.....

Cool idea, thanks for sharing. I never thought of that before...

Your welcomeAND it is AWESOME for scraping stubborn "items" from your stove..even on my flat top on the stove...they are just INGENIOUS....LOL....of course if I didn't have a TEEN and his FRIENDS, I probably wouldn't HAVE to scrape.....BAHHHH:D :D :D

I was thinking about how wonderful the scrapper was last night as well! I used it to clean up the baby's high chair.

I have a file called "35 other uses for your pan scraper besides cleaning your stoneware".....darn I don't have it saved on my computer:(

Lol....it's AMAZING how many uses our products really serve huh? That is what makes PC the BEST.....;)

I'd LOVE to see that list Lacy.....that would be awesome....

I'm actually trying to put together a "Kitchens Tips" Sheet for parties.....

Different items, no just PC, like micro'ing your sponges for one minute before use to help get rid of germs, using lemon juice down your drains to keep them smelling fresh....etc....

i have a scraper in the laundry room - twice in one week my three year old sat on yellow play-doh!!

A tip in the micro to clean it, put water in there run for a min & a half or 2 mins, it steams inside making it a lot easier to clean. Now if only they would fix the noise coming from my new micro, ugh!!

Not to steal this thread or anything, but do you know what else we have that I love for everyday practical uses? It's our Handy Scraper!!!

I leave one in the kitchen to use when cooking.

I have one with my household cleaning supplies to use as a "squeegee" when cleaning windows or ther flat surfaces.

I even keep one in the bathroom shower at all times so that the shower stall can be "squeegeed" & wiped down after each use to prevent that nasty soap scum buildup from getting everywhere in there!!!

Great ideas Laura!!!!! You should start a flyer with that information.

Be very careful, Kelley! You can ruin your microwave by running it empty. Seriously! I have a friend who started a small fire doing that. Next time, place a bowl or cup with water in it in the microwave. The steam will help soften the stuff, and you won't be in danger. :D

I use it to clean around the burners on my stove!!

You're welcome. I just didn't want to be able to recognize you at Conference by the large bandages.

Rae is right. I was told never to run my microwave when it is empty. You can damage it.

Working....LOL.....

Kelley,

You need to use the "BBCode" type links. Replace all the angle brackets (<, >) with square brackets ([, ]). Then it should work.

You're welcome:D

I've scraped hard playdoh off the kitchen floor with it! OR I guess you could use it for anything that has hardened around a high chair as well! I don't have one in a high chair but I guess it would work great!!

be careful of putting water alone in your micro, due to the speed of it heating up it doesnt go through the different heating stages and CAN blow up if a spoon or something is placed in it.:o

I saw this on Mythbusters but I have microwaved just water all my life and nothing has happened-

on the subject of cleaning microwaves- is Windex okay or not? I use windex for everything else, but I am not sure about cleaning a micro with it...
