I am considering making this for tomorrow's 12h scrapathon. Can anyone give me input as to how these turn out, and how many it yields? TIA!!! Or do you have ideas for an alternative? I need something bite sized that doesn't require a fork/spoon or plate, just napkins. Oh, and cheap of course.

OOhh! What are oreo truffle balls. Anything with "oreo" in it catches my eye! ;) Whatever it is, I want a recipe. And I may sound like a total ditz (sp?) but what is a scrapathon? Something to do with scrapbooking perhaps?

I have made them before- I can't remember what exactly goes in them but I can attach the recipe. I froze mine and they were still REALLY messy- If you want something cleaner I would go with the profiterole puffs. Also they are really rich so you can only eat one or two...

yum!!!!!!!!!Thanks for the recipe Gillian. I will have to try that for my hubby's b-day party in a couple of weeks. Oh heck, I can't wait that long.....I'm buying the ingredients today and trying them tomorrow! wooohooo!

I agree they can be messy maybe not a good mix with scrapbooking
I make them every Christmas but they are a pain in the rear. I get tired of scooping them. maybe I shouldn't make so many. I have to do at elast one batch of each flavor of oreo

Don't forget to put them in your "truffle" bowl!! LMAO!!!

you know, the savory cheese bites are pretty easy to prepare and very inexpensive.

Maybe Tuxedo Brownie Cups. I make these a lot and everyone loves them. Or you could use sugar cookie dough in the mini-muffin pan w/ the tart shaper and fill them with jelly.

You ladies are so funny! I actually found the Oreo Truffle recipe HERE in the files, lol. I was going to stop on the way home to get some Oreos, but now I want to investigate your other suggestions first. Oh, the scrap-a-thon is a fundraiser / vendor fair. I also sell Creative Memories, so this will work both businesses. Not often I can combine them, lol. Thx for all your input!

These sound soooo soooo good

My friend sells CM and we combine all the time! We have a get-together and I provide the food. I am supplying all the food for her memoranza too! She gets to sell her stuff while everyone is scrappin', then I get to sell mine at the breaks... good luck tomorrow!

Would it work if I used the trifle bowl and did alternating layers of white chocolate truffles and then dark chocolate truffles? Or would it turn into a big bowl of mush?? Thanks!

I make a TON of the oreo truffles.... and I have to say I have it down to a science so it isn't very messy at all. I just made some for my meeting this month with Thin Mints.. YUMMY! a Box and a half of Thin Mints and 8 oz cream cheese. To dip I recomend a bag of chips and a couple of table spoons of crisco, one minute in the micro and stir well. Make sure that there is absolutly no water in the bowl with the chocolate.

I use almond bark or if it's for a shower the colored Wilton candy discs
i wouldn't stack them
