Pampered Chef New Product: Collapsible Serving Bowl | Active Consultant

Click For Summary
The discussion centers around the unauthorized sale of Pampered Chef products on eBay by consultants, with strong feelings expressed about the ethics of such actions. It highlights the frustration among consultants regarding the inability of Pampered Chef to effectively stop these practices, despite thousands of items being listed. Participants are reminded to report any violations to the company's designated email addresses for handling web violations. The conversation also veers into a defense of community members who provide information about policy violations, emphasizing the importance of maintaining ethical standards within the business. There is a call for unity and support among consultants while navigating these issues, alongside a recognition of the drama that can arise within the community. The thread underscores a need for adherence to the consultant agreement, which explicitly prohibits selling products on unauthorized websites. Overall, the dialogue reflects a mix of support for ethical practices and concern over internal conflicts within the community.

I love this website!!!! Who needs soaps??? LOL!!!

I was giving my husband a condensed version of this topic before dinner. My 18 yr old daughter said, "And you think facebook and myspace are bad? You have more drama on ChefSuccess!!"

We are all hot-heads and can really get into the drama! Thankfully it doesn't happen too often!!!

OK, tell her I said Myspace IS bad!!!! I've seen some nasty stuff on that!!!! Stuff I'm embarrased to see much less have my kids exposed to!

However, this site does get VERY dramatic. What do you expect when you get a ton of women and a few quirky guys together. (Said with love KG - couldn't resist! ;) )

Now, for those who are new I really didn't mean ANYTHING by quirky - don't get your undies in a bunch - I just have a funny sense of humor. KG is truly a normal, honest guy. I just figure you must be crazy to hang around with us chics!!!! LOL! :D

What bizarre definition of "Normal" are you using?

And, Diane - I'm not naughty.

I went cruising on myspace last summer (after I found out my 13 y/o nephew cruised it on a regular basis) just to see what was out there...... OMG I was shocked at how much porn was on that site and how trashy some of the people were (nasty trashy, not just trashy trashy) and how easy it was to access it. I would absolutely not allow my child on that site. Thankfully he is only interested in PBS and hotwheels sites right now.

So....inquiring minds want to know....what is the difference between "trash trashy" and "nasty trashy".

err....at least one inquiring mind :blushing:

Umm...uh, o.k. not normal but we love him anyway! How about witty - that's a good adjective for him.

Yeah, and I'd agree Ann isn't naughty...usually...remember that whole conversation about how her and DH sit at opposite ends of the couch... ;)

He-he...

Well, put it this way....there were so many girls with extremely poor tasting naked pictures of themselves and many of them listed "f......g' as their favorite thing to do or what they wanted to do to you and many of them had a version of the f word in their screen name. It was pretty sad. I was shocked. And the more I thought it couldn't get any worse....it did.

Yeah Lisa! She's such a cutie too.

Hey All,

I know, it has been a long time since I have posted on here. When I started reading this post, I was a little upset about that bowl being on ebay, but that was NOTHING compared to how I felt when I saw the attack on ChefAnn. I had the pleasure to meet her (as well as other Cheffers) last year at conference, and I know that she goes completely "out of her way" to do for others on this site and in person.

If you can't abide by the rules, then walk away from this great company we have all decided to join.

Ann, you rock, don't EVER stop being who you are. Even though I don't post all that often, I do appreciate all you do for everyone. I can't wait to see ya'll again this year. WAVE 3 WILL ROCK CHICAGO!!!

Hey Kim, where ya been?

Oh, I made a rhyme.

Brag away, I'd be proud of her too - on BOTH accounts!!!!

...and if she ever wants to visit a good engineering school or needs a recommendation to one, send me a note... ;)

That is so GREAT! CONGRATULATIONS! Isn't being a MOM the best?!

Okay, sorry, soooooooooo many questions.

But don't forget to answer.

I was pretty surprised to come back to the post to find the drama...kinda feel bad for starting something, but I still think reporting it was the right thing to do. Maybe I should peruse eBay for the purpose of doing that now ;) jk

well frozenchef,
I don't think you started drama. I think you had a legit point. I do not understand why there are so many people out there defending people that think it is ok to cheat or just ignore that they did something against the contracts they signed.
I was taught that if you accidentally did it once and did not know better ok they get a warning. But when it is constant then it is intentional there should be some consequence.
I was taught to do the right thing since i was a little girl and be honest. If people take short cuts it's not fair to others that worked hard at doing it right.

YOU didn't start anything... you asked a question and Ann answered your question. Nothing you said is cause for you to "feel bad".

When you happen upon someone selling on ebay, there is nothing wrong with sending it to HO. It is HO's job to talk with the seller and find out the true story. However, if you do decide to go onto ebay to look for violators, you might not want to advertise that on here. You are likely to get some unwanted posts and/or PMs. Instead, spend your time working your business and trust that HO is doing all they can to stop the unethical sales of PC items... anyway, that JMHO.

It really upsets me when I see items from conference and the host & guest specials on ebay right after that item was at 60% off or the free items. I'm glad there are people out there that are reporting to HO when they see this. I'm behind Ann and anyone else that is the PC business that is doing the ethical thing.

O.K., I don't chime in on to many things on this site (because everyone elses ideas are better than mine) but this thread got me a little red around the gills!!! If I am not mistaken when a consultant signs the Pampered Chef consultant agreement, he or she is suppose to read and abide to the "Terms and Conditions" section of the agreement!!! Hmm. . .sounds a lot like a contract. And it clearly states under section "A" sub section 1:

"I will promote and sell Company products to customers by regularly holding cooking shows. I will not sell Company products on unauthorized web-sites on the internet or in any public, retail or service establishment. . ."

So with all that said. . .what is the problem? So don't sell Pampered Chef on ebay or any other site!

And there it is in a nut shell!!!!!! Defend against that.

I just can't keep my mouth (or fingers) quiet anymore. I am noticing a trend here....

someone asks a question, someone answers with the RIGHT answer, someone gets piss@d that the RIGHT answer isn't what they would do or have done. Then, and this is the reason I am posting, the person that is wrong posts and dissappears from the thread.

This is just instigating at it's finest, and enough if enough.

This forum was set up to HELP consultants of all levels. Are you really helping someone by giving them advice that is unethical or even borderline ethical? Are you helping yourself by lashing out at another?

It does not matter who was lashed at. It is different people each time. What does matter is that there is a person at the other end of the post. Keep that in mind before you start typing.

Thanks Chef ann for posting the emails for internet violations, you think you are SO cool for knowing those emails?

Are you a Director?

Why is your highest show only $1300?

Did it ever occur to you, that being a tattle-tale is bad for your health?
Dude, just chill out!
Ann's our homie!

Thanks Cindy for the update. I didn't know that either. :)

I thought everyone on this site was out of high school already. Apparently someone needs a nap.

Not sure what being a director has to do with anything. And Ann's highest show is double the one she has posted.

Plus, I'm pretty sure being a B is not great for your health either.

Just my 2 cents. I really enjoy reading Ann's posts. I feel like I know her (& quite a few others) even though I haven't met them.
