BURTON TOWNSHIP — An Amish woman was grateful for automobiles when her horse trotted off with her buggy in tow and a child inside Wednesday evening.

A passerby used her car to corral the horse.

The woman got out of her buggy about 6 p.m. on Georgia Road and the horse ran off too quickly for her to catch it, said John Hiscox of the Geauga County Sheriff's Office.

She flagged down a passing motorist, who was able to cut off the horse and buggy. Neither the child nor the horse was injured.

"We dispatched a deputy to help out, but the situation was resolved before he arrived," Hiscox said. "The passerby that helped was already gone."

I love good news.

Nice way to end the evening. Now I can go to bed with a smile. Nighty-night.
