I can't see why not, but you might want to check with the HO.
 
Yes it does. My understanding is that the new one can withstand hot liquids in the pitcher.
 
Yes.. The shape has never changed, just the color and "decor". And now the fact that it will now withstand hotter temperatures.

No. It's glued together. One of my older ones came apart and I thought that I had missed that I could do that but alas after that whenever I tried to plunge anything it would come apart again. I took the plunger bar off and just used it as a regular pitcher after that - until they came out with the replacement part this year - yay!
