I TOTALLY understand. I have a paralyzing fear of a lot of things. Water where i can't see my feet is a HUGE one! I live in Florida and DON"T go in the ocean! :( I didn't like flying but going to chicago every year has changed that and i have to board a flight next week to go to CANADA!! Also flying to San Francisco courtesy of PC was a huge one i had to overcome. I thought you know what? What do i have to lose? Yes i know my life BUT i need to do fun things to and i always want to remember this trip with doing something really special. So, why not? (OMG! Did i really just write that myself? haha! I'm so proud of myself!!) :D

You go girl! And I love the helicopter idea... so bachelor-date!!!! And it's really a once-in-a-lifetime thing!!

Like when you MADE me go on Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom???? I still hate you for that. j/k you know I love you. :candyheart:

Just wear your industrial strength Depends that day! I am sure that it is beautiful but not sure I would choose to see the Falls this way. I have seen the Falls many times but have not even gone on the Maiden of the Mist. Loved the Hurricane Deck but be prepared to have everything you wear become soaked (especially your shoes!)

I would be creating my own Niagara Falls if you know what I mean.....no way.

How much is it?For what it's worth, I used to be TERRIFIED of heights! Of course, it was back before seat belts were required, but I used to hit the floorboard every time my parents would drive the car over a bridge. I was too scared to see. And I wouldn't look out by bedroom window on the 2nd floor of our house. But one day I just decided that I needed to get over my fear of heights & went bungee jumping! It did the trick. The adrenaline rush was so worth the adventure. I've done it a few more times since then!!! Even got to the point where I could dive off head first vs just jumping feet first. :D Love watching the ground disappear when I'm in an airplane too. ;) Colleen, wanna go? ;)

AWESOME Sheila!! Come on Colleen!!

Okay I've been looking up prices and such and have come up with this site. I think we are going to book this. You have 6 stops on the tour. They pick up and drop off from the Sheraton @ 8:45 in the lobby. They drop off at @ 5:30-5:45.

The maid in the mist is not open YET but they are really hoping for it to be this weekend. The boats are currently in the water but waiting for the Coast Guard to give the Okay.

The whole thing is $69 (per adult) + tax=$78. BUT they do have the helicopter option which is an additional $95 for an adult. you pay the helicopter guy directly. the guy i spoke to said that the total flight time is @ 15 minutes but 30 minutes total with instructional time.

My husband is wanting to see the falls at night SO he doesn't want to take the bus back. The tour guy said that i need to look into the Go Train? or the Go Bus? Or Coach Canada because a taxi to get back would be expensive. It's 90 minutes to 2 hours one way back to the hotel. So, I'll look into that now. :)

When I did a search for Niagara Falls back to Toronto it gives fares as of May 15th. Do they run before then???

I was wondering if the prices were US$ or Canadian$ - but I just looked up the conversion and it's not that big of a difference! :D

good question! I just looked and it says 2010 but then read this:
GO Bus service to Canada's Wonderland runs seasonally. Fares to Canada's Wonderland will show in the Fare Calculator when service is in season. To find fares to Canada's Wonderland, select Maple as the "City/Town that you are going to".

Oh great!! That's why it's good to have a second set of eyes!! Thanks Sheila!

Sheila, are you interested in the helicopter tour? Are you bringing your kids with?

I'd LOVE to do the helicopter tour, but I need to look at finances. Moving to the states on the spur of the moment, buying a car, etc. has been super expensive!!! LOL And no, I won't have the kids with me. They are staying in TX with their grandparents! LOL

My friend who lives in Toronto said that we could always hop aboard one of the casino buses that go out to Niagara for a cheaper fare! LOL

Here's the link she sent to me on Facebook: http://www.casinoniagara.com/getting_here/by_bus.aspx
***Make sure that the map is on the area "Ontario - GTA" when you call looking for quotes. ;)
