Someone on here recommended that I put my cat picture in a pet photo contest so I did and I just got this e-mail today:

SnowballMy son wanted me to show you the pic we are entering. He took a great picture of him in a tree hunting for birds! He never catches anything but he thinks he's a sneaky panther! Only he's all white, not black!
He's 16 months old born last July 4th, 2006. We got him in September for my son's birthday.
Can anyone tell what breed he is? I know nothing about cat breeds.

I have the answer to my own questions. The confirmation email told me after I clicked the link, that I had already voted in the contest and my last vote would not be counted. DARN IT!!! I am out of email addresses!

What is the story behind the picture?

That is Asher (our 13 year old cat) and Flower my daughter's week old chicken at the time.

She would take Flower out to play with her and the cat would hang around too and then the chicken jumped on the cats back and hung out for awhile. I ran inside and got a camera and got a few pictures of the duo playing in the grass. Asher has been perfectly tolerant of all other creatures (including mice unfortunately - I always joke that she is a vegetarian!). They hung around each other for a good 30 minutes that day.

Thanks for trying Jennifer. ...and using all e-mails. If you use more than one e-mail from the same IP address you have to wait 1/2 hour so the IP resets on their end. They allow the same IP for people voting from work, but only 1 per e-mail address and the 1/2 hour rule to try to eliminate "stuffing" the ballot box.

I voted for your kitty. I have a kitty too! Her name is Camilla Bean. She is 8 months old. We got her in May, about 4 months after we had just put our second of 2 cats down in less than 2 years. Gus and Weasel were my babies...Camilla is filling their spot quite well, and to boot, she thinks she's the mother of my two huge Golden Retrievers! a 7 pound cat preening 2 dogs that weigh 75 and 109 pounds is hillarious!

Well, BJ somehow got kicked up yesterday to 10%...oh well, haven't told Sammie yet - hoping they pick Asher as their favorite choice.
