Can You Use Stoneware in a Toaster Oven?

In summary, the conversation discusses the use of stoneware in toaster ovens and various recipes that can be made in them. Many users have had success using small bar pans and mini-serving spatulas in their toaster ovens, and recommend them for reheating or cooking small portions of food. Some users also mention using the toaster oven to avoid heating up the house during summer. The conversation also mentions the discontinuation of some stoneware products, such as the small oval baker, and how to make a cream cheese and dill appetizer using crescent rolls on a small bar pan.

Hi all:

Has anyone put stoneware in a toaster oven? What were the results?

Thanks!!

It's supposed to be just fine. In fact I got the small bar pan to use in the toaster oven... just haven't gotten to use it yet. LOL...

I use our small bar pan in the toaster oven all the time. I heat stuff up or I cook french fries or fish sticks for the kids. I have even made a few slices of bacon in it for club sandwiches.

I use the small bar pan in my toaster oven all the time! Love it! It's great for reheating a single serving of something (like pizza), or baking just a couple of biscuits. You know, those little jobs that aren't good in the microwave, and for which you don't want to power up the big oven.

My sister swears by it - The viagra of day old pizza!!!!

LOL!!!!!!!! Oh that gave me my good laugh of the day! :D
I use my toaster oven a lot in the summer time when my kids are home with me all day and I try to change things up for them and make different things. I store my small bar pan and my small oval baker in my toaster oven so that they are always right there ready for me! The stones make it where my food never burns, because, to me, the toaster oven is more intense than the oven!
Try it, do it, you'll love it! :D ;) :sing:

I use the small bar pan and the small oval baker in ours all the time (I'd use more if our TO was bigger). I uce it for taco dip, pizza, individual cookies, chicken, leftovers and anything else that will fit on them!

Yep, they are just fine. Especially the small ones. Nowadays the "toaster ovens" are more counter top ovens than the traditional toaster. Mines actually called "Toast OR Oven"

At shows I tell everyone that the small bar pan and mini-serving spatula is my "toaster oven tool kit". I sell a lot of these combos.

Yep me to. I have a larger version and use my medium bar pan in mine. Probably the most used stoneware item I own. We use it the most in the summer to avoid heating up the house with the oven. Now if PC would come out with a round stone that is 12" exactally and not 13" we would be set for pizza all the time!!

I love my Sm. Bar Pan and use it in my toaster oven at least twice a day! When customers ask how big the Sm. and Med. ones are (since I usually just bring the Lg. one to shows), I tell them "the Sm. fits in a toaster oven and the Med. fits in the microwave" - then they usually buy 2 of them - one for the oven and one for the micro! (Sometimes all 3!).

Susan, the small oval baker was discontinued last month. Sorry to share this with you.

i meant the mini-baker - still learning the products ;-)

That's OK, Susan, it's hard to keep track of all of the "names" our products have. I just didn't want your heart set on something that was discontinued. The small oval baker did fit nicely in my toaster oven.

I have a larger toaster oven and use the medium bar pan and the small pizza stone (too bad it was discontinued) all the time. When we do home made pizza and have 4 stones on the go it is handy to cook 2 pizzas at the same time.

Susan, I got your message but do not know how to reply to the private message. I am at work so I am unsure of the exact size but 18 " seems about right.
I pretty much just read all the postings and have only just started replying.

I use my small bar pan in the toaster oven all the time. I use it at shows often too. My recruiter did this at my show and it's always a huge hit. I usually have early guests do this so they can explain how easy it was.roll 1/2 package of crescent rolls w/ mini roller to seal seams and flatten slightly.
generously sprinkle with PC dill mix
put an 8oz block of cream cheese on top
more dill
wrap (just wrap it up like a present)
put it seam down on the sm bar pan
you can roll the other 4 crescents and put them in the corners if you want
bake until the sides of the block are done
serve w/ crackers

oh, I forgot you can sprinkle a little bit more dill on top. Not really needed, but looks prettier.
