has anyone done anything like this? I'm having a few top achievers over to my house for appetizers and drinks...I'm planing to do it quarterly. has anyone held or attended anything like this? I'm wondering if I should do any kind of activity or something....or if I should just let them visit....? any suggestions?

Haven't done it, but cute idea! My favorite questions are what I learned when I was trained to do Critical Incident Stress Debriefing for emergency personnel who have just had a very difficult call, usually involving traumatic death(s) ...
  • If there's one thing that you could change, what would it be and why?
  • If there's one thing that you would do the next time, what would it be and why?
You can always revamp those to fit any type of situation ... like have them share one big OOPS that they wouldn't want to see their sister consultants do and share one piece of wise wisdom that they've learned that they'll continue to use in their business.Maybe do a drawing too to entice them to strive for success so that they can continue to be invited each time you do one of these events. It would also be cool for them to go back to their recruits & tell them how cool it was to be invited to this ... might get someone else motivated to be invited next time too. ;)

I have actually done something similar before! I used to host a quarterly networking event at my house for top performers in my industry. It was a great way to connect with colleagues and build relationships outside of the office. As for activities, it really depends on the vibe you want for the event. If you want it to be more casual and relaxed, just letting them visit and mingle over appetizers and drinks is perfectly fine. However, if you want to add a bit more structure and make it more interactive, you could consider incorporating some icebreaker games or a group activity. One idea could be to have a "speed networking" session where everyone gets a chance to briefly introduce themselves and their work, and then rotate to meet new people. Another option could be to have a themed trivia game related to your industry or company.Overall, I think the most important thing is to create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for your guests to connect and have meaningful conversations. Good luck with your event!
