nikked said:For desert, bring two batter bowl cakes (you can use the small one if you prefer). Cut the bottomes (large end) off so they are flat. Stick the large ends together with frosting, then frost with brown frosting (chocolate works fine, or color it yourself), and make white lacings. Wala! A football!!!! You can use green colored coconut to make "grass" to put the football on. Fits well on the square SA (at a diagonal).
HTH!

Some easy game day appetizers that require no oven include cold dips like guacamole or salsa, cheese and charcuterie boards, stuffed mini peppers, shrimp cocktails, and fresh vegetable platters with hummus or ranch dressing. These options are quick to prepare and perfect for snacking during the game.
You can prepare many appetizers in advance by chopping vegetables, making dips, and assembling platters a day before the event. Store them in airtight containers in the refrigerator. Just remember to keep items like guacamole covered tightly to prevent browning.
Crowd-pleasing dips that don’t require baking include classic options like spinach and artichoke dip, buffalo chicken dip, and seven-layer dip. You can also try bean dips or a simple yogurt-based tzatziki for a refreshing twist.
Yes, a slow cooker is a great tool for game day appetizers! You can prepare warm dips, meatballs, or chili that can be kept warm throughout the game. Just set it up before the event, and you’ll have delicious, ready-to-serve appetizers without needing an oven.
When serving appetizers without an oven, focus on fresh ingredients and cold dishes. Use a variety of colors and textures to make your spread visually appealing. Consider using ice trays to keep items like shrimp cocktails cool, and provide plenty of dipping options to cater to different tastes.
