I made these today for our cluster meeting. Wasn't really my first pick of recipes, but I had to find something that wasn't a new consultant recipe and that I could make fast before the meeting. But they were fabulous! It was a quick easy recipe that shows a lot of products. It suggests to add green onions and red peppers which I liked, it makes it more colorful and adds more products to show. This would be a good recipe to do as an interactive show or even just to make before a show. The only ingredient that seemed odd was the dried fruit. Not for sure what it exactly added to the recipe. I'm debating on offering this recipe for my fall shows, if I did I'd probably either buy a bag of dried fruit and offer to use it for my hosts or you can also buy 6 small packs in a box that could be used at 6 shows. Seems an interesting ingredient to ask a host to buy!

These sound so good! I wonder if you can buy the dried fruit mixture in the small boxes?
Maybe we could purchase a bag to have at home and then offer to bring it to the show. That way the host wouldn't have to have a whole bag left over.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I use dried fruit in Chicken Moroccan Crostini Melts for a fall show?

Yes, using dried fruit can enhance the flavor profile of Chicken Moroccan Crostini Melts. Dried fruits like apricots, figs, or raisins add a sweet and chewy texture that complements the savory elements of the dish.

2. What types of dried fruit work best for this recipe?

Apricots and figs are excellent choices for Chicken Moroccan Crostini Melts. Their natural sweetness and rich flavors pair well with the spices typically used in Moroccan cuisine, such as cumin and cinnamon.

3. How should I prepare the dried fruit before adding it to the melts?

It’s best to chop the dried fruit into small pieces to ensure even distribution and easier eating. You can also soak them in warm water or broth for a few minutes to soften them before mixing them into the chicken mixture.

4. Will using dried fruit change the overall texture of the crostini melts?

Yes, adding dried fruit will introduce a chewy texture that contrasts nicely with the crispy crostini and tender chicken. This combination can create a more interesting mouthfeel and enhance the overall eating experience.

5. Can I use fresh fruit instead of dried fruit in this recipe?

While fresh fruit can be used, it may not provide the same concentrated sweetness and chewy texture as dried fruit. If you prefer fresh fruit, consider using it as a garnish rather than mixing it into the chicken mixture.
