EpTxGuy said:Wow, you go girl, that's awesome. I have not sold a single one! What are you telling people to get them to order?
natural said:I carry all of my seasonings in the basket and put it on the table.
DebbieJ said:That's what I do and pass it around so everyone can smell the grilling rubs. I talk about how the basket fits front to back on the grill so you still have plenty of room to grill your burgers and steaks. I tell them how I make roasted potatoes in my basket as well as grilled veggies.
Potatoes:
get a bunch of red potatoes and cut into cubes about 1-2 inches. Put in batter bowl, fill with water and microwave 10 mins with LID ON. Drain water, add oil and seasonings of your choice, put lid back on and shake up. Dump into grill basket and cook until golden.
The cooking in the microwave first helps shorten the time on the grill.

I had put that Grill Basket recipe file together last night because I wanted to include them with the customers' orders who just bought them. I had to search through a few threads on here to get what I did. But it's always nice to have more!![]()

A grill basket is a versatile cooking tool designed for grilling smaller items like vegetables, seafood, or even fruits. It typically features a mesh or perforated design that allows heat and smoke to circulate while keeping food securely contained. You can use it on the grill to prevent smaller pieces from falling through the grates, making it perfect for achieving that delicious grilled flavor.
In addition to grilling vegetables, a grill basket can be used for a variety of creative cooking methods. You can use it to grill fruits like peaches or pineapples, which caramelize beautifully. It’s also great for cooking shrimp or fish fillets, allowing for even cooking without the risk of them breaking apart. Additionally, you can use it to roast nuts or even to hold skewers upright while grilling.
Yes, many grill baskets are versatile enough to be used in the oven or on the stovetop. When using it in the oven, you can roast vegetables or meats at high temperatures, similar to grilling. On the stovetop, it can be used on a grill pan or over direct heat to achieve a grilled effect indoors. Just be sure to check the manufacturer's instructions for temperature limits and safe usage.
Cleaning a grill basket is relatively easy. After grilling, allow it to cool slightly, then soak it in warm, soapy water to loosen any food residue. Use a soft brush or sponge to scrub away any stuck-on bits. Avoid using abrasive cleaners that could scratch the surface. For maintenance, ensure it is completely dry before storing to prevent rust, and consider applying a light coat of cooking oil to keep it in good condition.
To get the best results with a grill basket, preheat your grill to ensure even cooking. Cut your food into uniform sizes for consistent grilling. Toss your ingredients in a bit of oil and seasoning before placing them in the basket to enhance flavor and prevent sticking. Avoid overcrowding the basket to allow for proper airflow and even cooking. Lastly, keep an eye on your food, as cooking times may vary based on the type and size of the ingredients.
