I have the black TTA and I can't get it to spin properly! I took it apart to wash it and now it won't spin. Any tricks here or did I break it?

Try to take it apart again. See if there is anything broken. Maybe it isn't fitting properly. I hope it works!!

Hmm I've taken it apart again and everything looks OK. I'll call HO tomorrow. weird!!

It comes apart??!?!??! I didn't know that! Tell me more!!

The bottom detaches and there are small metal balls that attach to the bottom piece. Did you loose those little metal balls?

Flip it over. There are little "prongs" that when moved slide through the holes. Makes it so nice to clean BUT I had trouble after I took mine apart too. I lost some of the ball bearings! Luckily my cat found them!

I haven't taken apart my black one but I took apart the white ones and put them in the dishwasher all the time. Love that feature. Did you put the piece with the metal ball bearings back on backward. The balls need to face the bottom of the TTA.

My bottom falls off on mine. In fact, I picked it up Friday night to pack it for my KITK display on Saturday and when I got there, I had no bottom. Luckily, my house is very close to the church and the lady who let me in came to my house to get it from my SIL. It is a real pain!

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if my TTA won't spin at all?

If your TTA (Taco Tool Attachment) won't spin, first ensure that it is properly attached to the base. Check for any obstructions or debris that may be blocking the mechanism. If everything looks clear, try removing and reattaching the TTA to see if that resolves the issue.

How can I tell if the motor is functioning properly?

To check if the motor is functioning, listen for any sounds when you attempt to operate the TTA. If you hear a humming noise but the TTA doesn't spin, it may indicate a mechanical issue. If there are no sounds at all, the motor may not be receiving power, and you should check the power source or connections.

What if the TTA spins but is not mixing properly?

If the TTA is spinning but not mixing the ingredients effectively, ensure that you are not overloading it with too much food. Additionally, check that the ingredients are cut into appropriate sizes for even mixing. Sometimes, adding a bit of liquid can help improve the mixing process.

Can I fix a TTA that spins intermittently?

If your TTA spins intermittently, it may indicate a loose connection or a worn-out part. Inspect the attachment points and ensure everything is securely fastened. If the problem persists, consider contacting customer support for further assistance or to inquire about replacement parts.

When should I seek professional help for my TTA?

If you have tried all troubleshooting steps and your TTA still won't function properly, it may be time to seek professional help. Contact Pampered Chef customer service for guidance, and they can assist you with warranty options or repairs.
