I just got the large microcooker. When I slide the lid in place, one of the sides doesn't touch the base. There's quite an open space, more than the other side. Is it supposed to be like that, or is it warped?

I had a host get two like that. It was warped. We got them replaced and the other two were fine. I'd do an adjustment or give them a call.
God bless,
Amanda

Yes, do a replacement, matter of fact, have to do my replacement for a fundraiser that was shipped here............GRRRRR

3 out of 6 small batter bowls, lids cracked/smashed
1 out of 1 Large Micro-Cooker - Lid warped, doesn't not even go onto base

Totally Missing:
2 Pastry cutters,
1 Jar Opener
and something else that is espcaping me at moment.

But on bright side, if there is one, lol, the missing is from a Box I could tell was RE-Taped and damaged in shipping.

It could also be the prongs on that side are not adjusted correctly...might have happened in shipping. When I first got mine several years ago I had to adjust the prongs.

Hi there! Congratulations on getting the large microcooker, it's such a versatile and convenient tool to have in the kitchen. In regards to your question about the lid not touching the base, it's possible that the lid may be slightly warped. I would recommend reaching out to our customer service team for assistance. Frequently Asked Questions

How should the lid to the Microcooker fit?

The lid of the Microcooker should fit snugly on top of the base. Ensure that the lid is aligned with the base and pressed down firmly to create a tight seal, which is essential for proper cooking and steaming.

What should I do if the lid doesn't seem to fit properly?

If the lid doesn't fit properly, check for any food debris or residue around the rim of the Microcooker. Clean both the lid and the base thoroughly, and then try to fit the lid again. If it still doesn't fit, inspect the lid for any damage or warping.

Can I use the Microcooker without the lid?

While you can use the Microcooker without the lid, it is not recommended. The lid is designed to trap steam and heat, which helps cook food evenly and efficiently. Without the lid, cooking times may increase and results may vary.

Is there a specific way to place the lid on the Microcooker?

Yes, the lid should be placed on the Microcooker with the steam vent facing away from the handle. This positioning allows steam to escape safely during cooking and prevents pressure buildup inside the cooker.

What if the lid is difficult to remove after cooking?

If the lid is difficult to remove after cooking, it may be due to a vacuum seal created during the cooking process. To release the seal, carefully insert a utensil into the steam vent to let steam escape before attempting to lift the lid. Always use caution to avoid burns from the steam.
